Moving Tips & Guides
The Different Types of Moving ...
During your move, you are likely to use the services of a moving agent. These agents handle the logistics of the move, such as making the appropriate arrangements and acting as a liaison between you and the moving company. Though you are likely to use moving agents for any type of move, their roles are especially crucial during long-distance and international moves.
Private vs. Chain Moving ...
Consider these things when trying to decide between a privately-owned moving company and a large chain: Price, customer service, reputation, equipment, services offered and experience. Whatever aspects matter more to you, keep those at the top of your list.
Planning a Long Distance Move
A long distance move is defined by any move that takes you more than 50-100 miles from your old home. With a definition that is this broad, it can be used to describe a move that takes you all the way to the other side of the country, or a move that takes you to the other side of the state. But the one thing that all long distance moves have in common is that they require careful planning, and a lot of it.
