Customs Regulations applicable while shipping to Nicaragua

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

  • Passport (include all pages)
  • Residence Visa
  • Proof of Employment
  • Document stating insurance coverage
  • Inventory (Original) in English or Spanish, indicating value declared for Customs
    • Include brand name, serial #, model and price of the electronic equipment and electrical appliances
  • Purchase Invoice (Original) for any new items in shipment, legalized by Consulate and attached to inventory
  • Letter authorizing Destination Agent to clear shipment
  • ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE ORIGINALS AND COMPLETE. DELAYS DUE TO INCOMPLETE OR INCORRECT DOCUMENTS WILL BE CHARGED TO THE CUSTOMER.

CUSTOMS REGULATIONS

  • CUSTOMER MUST BE IN COUNTRY AT TIME OF CUSTOMS CLEARANCE
  • All used household goods and personal effects are subject to import taxes and duties
  • Only one shipment allowed, unless declared as partial shipment
  • All shipments inspected

  • Pornographic or subversive material

  • Amount to be paid depends on value, model, year, cubic centimeters and extras
