Moving Tips & Guides
Always Look into Added Insurance ...
When hiring a moving company, be sure to familiarize yourself with their insurance policies and what they do and do not cover during a move. Some companies only offer a small amount of reimbursement for items that become damaged during a move (only 60 cents per pound!). Making sure you know ahead of time what percentage of your items will be covered may make your decision easier.
What are Stair Carries?
Also known as a flight carry, a stair carry is when your movers have to bring your belongings up or down at least one flight of stairs. Since moving things up and down a flight of stairs requires a lot more time and labor, most moving companies will charge you an extra fee for stair carries. Any reputable moving company will tell you about these fees ahead of time, usually at the time of the estimate.
Tips for Moving in the Spring
The spring signifies rebirth and the beginning of new life, so it's a fitting season in which to move and start a new life in a new city or town. While it's a popular time of the year to move, there are always challenges that come with any relocation, so it's best to be prepared for them beforehand to make sure your move goes as smoothly as possible. This guide will tell you what to expect when you move in the spring.
Create a Moving Inventory
Whether you plan on moving your stuff yourself, or hiring a service, making an inventory of your belongings will be helpful not only to keep track of your stuff, but in the event that anything gets damaged or stolen, you may need to submit an inventory to your homeowner’s insurance company. Make a list with a description, what room it came from, the value and any serial numbers attached to an item in a spreadsheet. Take photos of your important items and keep them with the list and make sure to
Different Types of Moving Services
The moving company you choose to hire will depend on the type of move you need to complete. Are you moving local, long distance, internationally? Do you need full service, or just moving help? Knowing the answers to these questions will help you get a more accurate estimate for your move.

long distance relocation services
You know how you look at a long distance relocation as one big wall that you have to go over without a ladder? When using Long Distance Relocation Services, it's like they make the wall smaller and provide a staircase too. We were planning to relocate to Tennessee after my husband got a job transfer and although he kept saying that everything would be okay, we knew so little about long distance relocation. His friend recommended this mover, and we hired them. They did everything with certainty you could tell that everything would be right. They just simplified stuff.
