Moving Tips & Guides
How Long Does it Take Movers to ...
Packing can be a time-consuming and exhausting process, but it's also a vital one and one of the most important parts of the moving process. You can choose to handle it yourself if you like a challenge, or you may choose to hire trained professionals to take care of the job for you. If you take the second road, you might be wondering how long it would take them to pack your house and what kind of factors go into figuring out how the process works.
Tips on How to Tip Your Movers
Many people are often unsure of what to do when it comes to tipping movers, but there are no definitive rules. Simply put, since you are already spending a lot of money on the move, movers don't expect to be tipped. At the same time, if you want to reward your movers for a job well done, feel free to give them a little extra money. The choice is entirely up to you.
Get an In-House Estimate
While getting quotes online is a time saver, you should always insist on an in-house estimate before committing to a moving company. The movers need to assess the size and weight of your items in order to determine an accurate price.
Always Ask for an In-Home ...
Always insist on an in-home estimate. In-home estimates provide a better idea of what you will be paying because the moving company will be able to measure and see what items you’re planning on moving. In-home estimates offer the most accurate pricing, generally.
Moving Licensure, Insurance and ...
Every reputable and reliable moving company will be required to have certain types of licensure and insurance in order to operate. This guide will help you familiarize yourself with these regulations so you can learn all about the proper licensure and insurance required of moving companies by the federal government.

Horrible
Quality Moving
They banged up a lot of our stuff and our railings. They put holes in our walls. They loaded all our stuff in the house and said they'd be back the next day and they never did. When I spoke to the supervisor and he told me to get different movers.

Amazing Crew
North Van Lines Inc
I had to change my moving schedule at the last minute, but that didn’t cause any issue. The crew from North van lines arrived at 5 pm on Sunday as they promised, packed everything securely and came back the next day to load those into the truck and then started to my new house. They were friendly and gracious. On arrival at the new house they quickly unloaded my stuff, assembled the furniture they had dismantled and left everything inside the rooms. Price wise they were noticeably cheaper than the others. We are very happy with the move.

Good Movers
A Friend With A Truck Movers LLC
These movers helped me with my 2 bedroom condo downtown out to my new townhouse in Overland Park. The price was right and the movers were fast and polite. Scheduling the move was simple and the customer service was good on all ends. They have a simple pricing system that was easy to understand, some places I called really wanted me to jump through hoops. Overall it was a good experience and I would definitely use these guys again.

Moving to Missouri?

Missouri is a unique Midwestern state that showcases the political and economic makeup of America and has been considered a border state between the Eastern and Western United States. It is popularly referred to as the “Show-Me State” for its laissez faire laws regarding alcohol and tobacco regulation. They also have an official state motto about the welfare of the people being the supreme law.

Historically, St. Louis was famous for its fur trade with the Native American tribes. The trade and its location, at the confluence of Illinois River, have made it a financial center. In earlier times the state was considered a slave state because of the settlement of large concentrations of slaves, especially around Little Dixie.

The state also served as the departure point for the famous Lewis and Clark Expedition to explore the territories lying to the west, near the Pacific Ocean, earning it the nickname Gateway to the West.
