Run donâ€™t walk away
This is a company you never want to do business with. We are on day 25 of waiting for our belongings to be delivered, and have had 5 broken commitments from the company. Wouldn't use again!
Our home was loaded 13 days ago and we still don't have 2000 pounds of possessions! Even though our weight was less than estimated, it all didn't fit on truck. Two different Allied agents, one for pickup,one for delivery. Reebie in Illinois Berger in Ohio Having moved a number of times, I didn't know what to expect. Allied never showed up on the scheduled days it promised to pick up my furniture for transporting. I had to pay an additional $1,000. to gave my furniture picked up and stored till I was able to find another van line to move my furniture and belongings. ...more

Household Move:

Preparation prior to the move is crucial in household moving. Our Personal Relocation Consultant will advise you and your family on every aspect of your move, explaining the service options available from Allied Van Lines.

Allied Driver and Pack-and-Load Technicians are responsible for taking special precautions to protect your home and its contents on moving day, preparing a detailed inventory of items to be moved, tagging each carton/item with numbered and color-coded labels, loading your goods onto the truck etc.

The driver and crew will reassemble any items they disassembled at origin. If an item appears to have been damaged during the move or is missing, make a note on the inventory-including the drivers copies-and notify your move coordinator. If you have requested and paid for unpacking services, your move coordinator will arrange to unpack cartons at the time of delivery and will remove used packing materials.
