I am a student currently residing in Columbia, Maryland and would like to move to Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. I would appreciate it if you could send a me a quotation to ship my Ford Focus car and some personal effects at the end of July. The personal effects are just clothing, some kitchen utensils and bed linen. I would also like to know if I can load the goods in the car and how long it will take to delivery. I would also appreciate any other information you may offer

Hi, thanks for visiting Movers.com! Your move from Columbia, Maryland to Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan is considered a long distance move, however, you'll only be moving a few personal effects, so what we'll focus on is transporting your car. While I'm not able to provide you a quote for your auto move, you can easily obtain one by visiting our auto transport page. Here, you'll be able to enter your zip code and you'll be instantly connected with several auto moving companies that can provide you with some estimates for your move.

As for what options are available for your auto move, well, there are a lot! Auto shipping companies haveseveral different ways of transporting your car to its destination, and which one you ultimately choose depends on what service you feel most comfortable with and what service fits best with yourmoving budget.

The first type of auto shipping service is the driveaway service where a trainedmoving professional from the company you hire drives your car to your new home for you, freeing you up to take care of other aspects of your move. Of course, since the car will be driven the entire way, this method leaves it vulnerable to the elements of the road and anything that may occur in transit.

If you're wary about having it driven by someone else, you could choose to have your car delivered by train transport. This service is typically much cheaper than other services, and it's a greener way of shipping your car as well.

Finally, you can choose to have your car shipped by an auto transport company that specializes inshipping cars. They will place your car on a either an open-air trailer or an enclosed trailer and deliver it door-to-door safely and securely. This service tends to be more expensive than the others, but it is one of the best and most efficient ways to get the job done.

If you wish to ship your small amount of personal effects with your car, you may do so, however be aware that many auto transport companies will not be liable for any damage that occurs to any of your belongings while they are in the car that is being transported, and any moving insurance will only cover damages to your car and not the belongings inside, so if you are moving anything of value, it's recommended that you hire a separate moving company to take care of that. You can expect your car to be delivered anywhere from 10-14 days after your move, as auto transport companies will typically ship your car along with several others on the same truck.

If you're looking for a reliable auto shipping company to move your car, look no further than Movers.com, where you'll find free competitive moving quotes from moving companies all over the United States that are reputable and reliable.
