Thanks so much for visiting Movers.com! I will be happy to assist you with your question.

Cubic meters to cubic feet

Generally, moving companies in the United States measure weight in pounds or cubic feet, whereas other countries use the metric system. Each cubic meter is approximately 35 cubic feet. In your case, you will be looking to fill just under 495 cubic feet of space. To get an exact conversion, you can use a metric conversion calculator.

How much will fit?

Unfortunately, there's no real way to say, "A one-bedroom apartment full of furniture will fit easily into X amount of space," since the size of everyone's furniture varies. However, there are standard cubic feet measurements for individual items found in homes, like beds, sofas, clocks, computers, etc. Once you've calculated these items, you can have a better estimate of how large your space will need to be.

Movers.com has a weight calculator to help you estimate your moving budget. Since the cubic footage is your area of concern, scroll down to the bottom and check the CBF total frequently as you add your items on the list. Once you are done, click "Total Summary" at the top right corner, and you will get an itemized list of everything you added, including total weight, CBF, and even some general estimates on things that might fit in certain sized trucks.

If you find that you may need more space than what is provided for you, you can go to our international movers page to compare free quotes on services.

Best wishes on your move!
