Hi there and thank you for visiting Movers.com for an answer to your important moving question. While I can not give you an exact price for your move, because it is something that varies from household to household based on the type of moving service you choose and amount of goods you have, I can certainly help you figure out a close price range.

Since you will be moving 450 miles, you will want to look into hiring a long distance moving service if you are interested in a full service move. The main difference between pricing when it comes to local versus long distance moves is that long distance moving companies charge by weight of shipment, not the time it takes to move. However, the further you move, the higher the price per pound (typically). You will also need to take packing services and extra insurance into account when you choose a full service moving company, unless you plan to purchase the packing materials and pack yourself. For a four-bedroom house, you’ll be looking at somewhere around $5,000 for the standard cost, and closer to $7,000 with packing services and insurance.

If you would like to get a free quote to compare long distance moving services in your area.

If you are interested in a do-it-yourself move, or a you pack, we drive service, you can find more cost information in regards to moving a four-bedroom house right here. At Movers.com, we also have a weight calculator for your convenience.

Thank you again for visiting, and good luck with your upcoming move!
