Do they pay for any damages of the home too?

Hello, and thanks for taking the time to visit us here at Movers.com.

It sounds like the insurance you purchased only covers your belongings (hence the per pound stipulation), but we highly recommend reading your contract to see if damage to your walls and floors are also covered.

Filing a claim

Regardless of what your contract stipulates, call your moving company and inform a customer service representative of the damage. Then, per their instructions, proceed with filing a damage claim.

Make sure to include pictures of the damage when you fill out and return the claim they send your way.

Thanks for your question and good luck with your claim!
