If you're looking to hire a moving service to move your bedroom, you're looking for what's called a small move. You can get started with finding a smaller mover by getting a free quote here at Movers.com.
If you’re looking to move your bedroom set yourself, hereare some things you’ll need to know:
Protect your furniture: Make sure you have the right packing materials and furniture pads to keep your furniture in pristine condition from one residence to the next. Don't forget about packing your bedding and mattress properly. For packing a large mirror, you'll have to take different precautions than with the rest of your furniture, so keep this in mind as you purchase your materials.
Get a vehicle: Maybe you know a friend with a pick up truck you can use to haul your bedroom to your new apartment (you may need to take a few trips back and forth, though), but if that's not the case, make sure you price out truck rentals before the day of the move.
Recruit extra people: Regardless of how strong you think you are, moving a heavy dresser is hard work with two people, let alone one. You'll need to have at least one other person, if not more, to help you. You can hire a service to do this for you, or you can always ask people you know for help.
After your move check back to Movers.com and review your experience with your service. If you found the answer to this question helpful, be sure to leave us a comment!
