Exercise in frustration
I would recommend paying more and getting a reputable company - not 24 Hour Movers!! We explicitly chose them because they guaranteed a morning pick up by 12:00. They called the evening before the move and said they would be there at 6 am. At 9:00, I called because no one had come. The very nice dispatcher did not know what happened. The trunk didn't show up and she couldn't get ahold of her manager. After several calls and no more information, at 11:00 I was finally told they may have to get a trunk from Dallas and if I wanted to go with another company, they understood. Where was I getting another company from in an hour? They finally found a trunk and cam at 12:00. The increased charge was reasonable for some packing materials which I thought they said were included but am not sure. Then the headaches began. I could not get information where my belongings were and when they would be delivered. I was told the truck broke down. Someone told me the trunk was fixed and I got another call the trunk broke down. It took over 7 days to fix the trunk. Other complaints also said the trunk broke down. I think it is just what they tell everyone. My belongings came one week past the last day it was to be delivered. Two items were broken. Use someone else!
