Experienced Rip Off Artist

Do not use this company they are experienced at ripping people off they quote one price and charge you whatever they want. They have gorilla's handling the furniture and then try to collect any insurance they only want to pay 1/8 of the submitted claim. My biggest regret in life will be using this company for our move. I am a real person all the other good reviews are staged by the company to lure you into a trap. Just like a fisherman they are waiting for the next catch. Good experienced movers

Our recent experience moving with New times moving was very pleasant. The guys were so personable. They had our goods picked up the day scheduled and delivered within a 9 days ( they gave us a window of 5-12 days) Mike was very professional and his crew were friendly and hard working. Honest and upfront

So glad that we chose to have New Times move our things. They were very honest and upfront with their pricing and the Miles spent many hours with us working out the list of what would be moving with us and explained all the little things that could raise our price on the day of the move. We had several extra boxes on the day of the move and my wife decided she wasn't ready to part with the washer/dryer, so that added a little to our price too. Good service

Easy to communicate with in the process of creating a quote. Customer service of the parent company (Statewide) was really helpful in answering any questions we had. they were flexible despite the fact that we needed to change the move date three times (!). The movers said they would come between 8 AM and 10 AM and they did show up a little before 9. They worked very quickly yet carefully. The crew were both friendly and professional, they were able to manage moving a huge china cabinet up a narrow staircase and hoist our sofa up 2 flights without even a scratch to any of our items. I am very unsatisfied with the hidden ...

I recently moved my one large bedroom from North Carolina to South Carolina. And it was not a great experience. I was charged a hidden fee even though I had tried to avoid any kind of service that involved extra fees. Still, I ended up paying roughly around $200 extra. Also my dryer was damaged in the move. A very bad and expensive move

It was a long-distance move and the company I hired for the move was not at all good. They gave me an estimate before my move, but after seeing my stuff he charged me an extra $500 on top of the quoted price, which was not at all fair. Again, when they delivered my stuff, there were scratches on my sofa. They were very rude, and I am unhappy with their services. Read more

A disappointing move

The driver had a very bad attitude. He whined and complained throughout the move.The movers came very late and didn't finish packing until well after dark. The guy who was responsible for unloading was great but he hired some day laborers for additional help who were very reckless with our belongings. Certain things got scratched and broken. Read more

Damage to my belongings

I am not pleased with the services I received from this moving company because they were careless with several of my belongings. First, they broke my top part of my sofa, and they would not assemble my coffee table when it arrived at the destination. Also, their claims department is unresponsive and will not return any of my calls regarding a claim for my broken sofa. Read more

Professional Moving Company

My husband and I used New Times Moving to make our move to Texas from Virginia. From the conversations with Sherry, we were able to get a price that was competitive with the other companies we dealt with. She clearly explained the policies that would be of importance to us. When we working on the list of items we would be moving we were not sure if we were taking the large book shelves that we had in our home. She promised us that even if we made the choice to take them on the day of the move the rate we were paying would not go up so we did not have to make the choice until the movers came. On the day of our move, the movers came on time and were very professional. The delivery came the other day and everything was good. From Florida to W. Virginia

We used new times moving based on a sugestion of someone who works with my husband. We were very happy we made that choice. They were so wonderful to work with. They didn't overcharge us for the few extra boxes and the extra mattress we ended up having. Great moving experience

New Times Moving were very reasonably priced for a 1br apt move. I had to pay a little extra because I couldn't figure out to pack up the aquarium. They took care of it and it made it there in one piece, making my fish very happy as well! Great Job!!! Read more

Thanks for a job well done

My husband and I were concerned about making a large move with young kids involved. Our hours and schedule were very busy. New Times Moving were very accommodating in working with us to help organize the move. We decided to use the full packing services to save us some time. We were very happy that we did so. We originally were planning to unpack ourselves, but in the end we paid the small extra fee to have them do the unpacking as well. Well worth the extra cost. Great Job!!! Read more

800 mile move

I was very pleased with the communication prior to my move. The estimate of my move was given by compiling a list of my possessions. I had more stuff than originally thought, which is what lead to the higher price. The pick up was right on time and the five guys had my 3br house loaded in 3 hours. The delivery was less smooth. The driver, while very nice and apologetic, showed up but no movers did. It took 2 hours for him to find some local guys on Craigslist to unload the truck. While it all worked out, it could have easily had a different ending. My possessions did arrive in satisfactory condition. Read more

I had to pay about an EXTRA two thousand dollars because their estimate was off. They just contract other people to do the move. When we call, they just transfer us over to the actual moving company. Just skip them and go straight to the moving company. You save money and a headache. Read more
