Overall was Good!!

Overall, it was a good move. I think it went a little slower than expected considering we were moving from a storage until. It may have been the heat and then the rain. Toward the end of the day they were understandably fatigued and didn't try as hard to complete tasks. For example, our couch came from a basement row house with narrow stairs but they couldn't get it down here. They said they couldn't get a loveseat down until I pushed the issue and down it went. Also, they didn't put any furniture together or beds together. I am almost certain this was a part of the services. So, move went ok. Nice crew. Respectful of our belongings. Was quoted multiple prices, day of move went up to 15,000.00. they showed up 6 hrs. late in a truck way to small for my belongings, told me they were bringing a bigger truck and would have everything out that evening. My house was supposed to be closed on at 930 AM the following day. Imagine my surprise when my relator called the next next morning and said my house was still full. Contacted them and was told they would have it done by noon. My washer and dryer were supposed to be on the truck and instead of calling me when the buyers realtor said it stayed with the house, they left it there. I moved all the way across the country so there was no going back for it. On top of this, I paid extra for expediated shipping, which of coarse was late, they finally showed up to my new house at 830PM on Sun. The big kicker..nothing was wrapped in blankets, it all had green sara wrap..every single piece of my furniture was either broken, scratched, or gouged. This was one of the worst experiences in my life. Not sure if all moving company's are like this or not, never had used one, Safe Ship was the broker in the whole ordeal, I won't even get started on their piss poor customer services. Read more
