$4000 worth of damage

Worst moving experience of my life. Moved less than 20 miles and suffered over $4000 worth of damage. Company stated due to liability coverage, would only compensate $300. What incentive do these companies have to keep items safe and secure with this type of compensation? Every piece of furniture I unwrapped had leg and side damage. Also had shattered TV and multiple picture frames. Consumer beware and don't let this happen to you.
