Excellent job by AMS movers

We asked AMS to help us consolidate our offsite storage from 3 units into 2 and to organize the various types of furniture and cartons. The crew, under the mature leadership of driver Tracy, was highly professional and courteous. They arrived early and immediately introduced themselves and listened to our instructions. Then they went to work, taking no breaks and finishing the job approximately 30-45 minutes ahead of schedule. The crew functioned as a true team (Anthony, Raleigh and Dee) spotting for each other and ensuring safety and timeliness of every task. They raised the price a lot more and ...

The price that they gave me was, after they finished doing everything, it was way higher. Besides that, they said they were a local company but they charged you all this money to come from Pensacola. I felt like I should have gotten the company that was already in Mobile. They made it seem like it was all the same. They charged extra for gas and mileage. They only had one size truck. I didn't need the biggest truck they had. The could hardly drive the speed limit in the city of Mobile when they had my stuff in there because of the tree limbs and stuff. It's not their fault nor my fault. If I would have thought about these things up front, I would have just gotten a U-Haul sized truck and do what I needed to do. I was not pleased. Read more

The movers themselves were fantastic.

The movers themselves were fantastic. They came on time, they helped me pack up my house. I had a great experience with the people that came to my house. What I didn't appreciate was--the company itself, I didn't realize they were out of Pensacola. I live in Mobile, I had no idea they were coming all the way from Pensacola and that reflected on my bill. I had a $200 fuel surcharge when I could have picked a company in the city where I lived in. They were a great moving company. The only downside was that the price went up at the last minute. They didn't stick the price that they first said for the move. But besides that, I didn't have any damage on my furniture. The drivers and helpers were professional. While they were moving their furniture, everything went okay. Read more

Poor at best. First time the move was scheduled, they were a no show. So I had to cancel and then reschedule. The second time, they showed up and took two hours longer than I would have ever anticipated. So, the price was way high for what they did. Read more

It was a very good experience. They arrived on time and they helped me pack up my house and when we got to our destination they unloaded the truck and put everything into place in its correct room, so it was a great experience. Read more

There was some damage to the furniture. The cost has changed from the time I originally contracted with him. He told me he was going to send me two people to pack, and then he called me to change that, and said that because of the quantity I had I didn't need two people to come and pack, but he charged me the same amount. If you're gonna cut down the amount of people you're going to send me, you shouldn't charge me the same amount of money. Read more

Pretty disappointed

Pretty disappointed in the way they stored everything. We had several items that were broken or bent. They just didn't store it in the storage unit like they should have. Read more

Organized and careful service

They are very good. They showed up on time. They took great care in packing all the boxes and such. It was really a overall great experience. They are really nice. They moved the stuff into the apartment and set it up for my mother that needed to be set up. They are very kind, very courteous. I think the price was reasonable. Honestly there were a couple of companies that I called and at that time they did not get back to me. This company was first that I got a quote from. I didn't really feel like sitting around and going through bunch of quotes. Yes I would recommend them to my friends and family who will move in future. No advice this experience was good. I am very pleased

I liked how they handled the move. There were three of them, they were very friendly, very cautious, and knew what they need to do, I really appreciate it. The prices were little higher than other companies and I didn't realize going in that it would be quite as high, because it took longer than we had anticipated but that is part of it. I have already recommended them. I guess what I would say is that we need to do as customers is to pack about half of the things I had somethings with lot of wrap and that was extra time and I didn't realize that and again clients need to ask that's what the time frame for before every, other than that I was very very pleased with the people who came out. They were rushing to finish off the work and I didn't like that at all. I don't like to be rushed. They had a move before mine and they underestimated the time that it would take. They were in a hurry to complete the work to deliver the stuff on time. Apart from that, everything else went well. Read more
