Ripped Off

Move was from California to Oregon. Retained Cross Country Movers to pack and move. The move cost 3 times the estimate, was farmed out to MoveR Van Lines out of Las Vegas. At 1 AM I discovered it was not the movers originally hired, and stuff was on the truck. Receipt of goods was to be June 1. June 11 it was finally received - paintings torn, Eames chair broken, antique clock in disrepair, and many many other broken and scratched items. The claims processor still has not worked on the claim. CSI.org. I had sent a video of belongings to Cross Country, who promised to take care of the valuables. The Eames chair repair cost $1600.00. All the above companies are disreputable and dishonest. My advice: read the fine print carefully! It says that it only pays 60 cents per 100 lbs. of goods. This doesn't cover anything!!!!! Antique armoire was scratched. So many items to be repaired or thrown out. Do Not Use either of these movers.

Email confirmation received, on time, reasonable pricing, EXCELLENT and courteous service. Small damage on an old TV, very reasonable discount provided. Will recommend to all my friends that need a moving company.

Small moving job

I was a little worried that I wouldnt get "what I paid for", but those thoughts were quickly erased as their friendly crew of two showed up on time and had the job done quickly and carefully. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

Fast moving service

Fast, courteous and friendly movers. Arrived on time and were very careful not to damage the walls and floors. Brought a large enough truck to fit all my stuff in one trip (3 bedroom townhouse). Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful relocation services

hey moved very quickly and efficiently despite the challenges of moving out of a high-rise condo. They wrapped all our furniture and fragile items and not one item was scratched, dented, or broken. We were 95% packed and they brought in a few large wheel bins to collect all the odds and ends (this was incredibly helpful as it is hard to have everything 100% ready on the day of your move). When they arrived at our new house they kept up their quick and efficient pace and even moved things around a few times as we didn't know where we wanted some items to go. Thanks for a great move

Hi , The movers delivered my stuff yesterday and everything went very smoothly First, I just wanted to make sure that you were aware that they did a very good job. Second, I told them that the earliest date that my things could be delivered to the new address. Unfortunately I have become ill, called the dispatch office and asked to push back the delivery To my surprise, the simple answer (the one I wanted, but was not expecting) was "sure" The understanding and consideration on behalf of cross country movers - Moving Company was overwhelming, especially in my condition.Eventually, I have received my delivery and the move was completed to my satisfaction Could you please make sure that the management is aware of this.

Very happy

They took great care in making sure that nothing was damaged and the piano arrived in perfect shape. They were very careful and made sure that our floors and walls weren't damaged in the move. The move went quickly and we didn't have to worry about anything at all!

The movers came to my place 15mins early - they were pleasant, social, talkative and most importantly - professional. They were able to get all my personals out w/out any damages or incident. When it came to moving my couch (which is very big and the elevator is so small) they stayed calm and did not get frustrated about it - they worked as a team and lessened the stress on me. Overall - I'd like to thank your company and I will be sure to recommend you guys to anyone I know that is moving.

Moving One Bedroom Apartment

They were very polite, professional and friendly and made my move a lot less stressful. Since I am a young woman on my own, who can barely lift a box, I felt I was in very good hands! They were very careful and thorough with each piece, taking the time to wrap everything that could possibly need it.

Great Move

I called so many moving companies. There prices were so high. Besides the fact that I'm on a very thing budget. So I remembered my school mate. Whom let a year before had used them. I called him and he gave me their phone number. That gave me a referral discount that helped a lot. These guys came in 3 hours had everything boxed, wrapped and loaded into their truck. I payed half of my move at the pick up. I had some extra charges I didn't anticipate. They were nice to let me pay them when they delivered my stuff. Again Thanks to American home movers I’m back home with all of my things. These guys are real Pros

I was really worried about the move and thought I needed to shop around for movers so I did and ended up choosing to go with Cross country movers. I was very pleased and surprised at how easy it was to get it all done. They did a great job!

Moved away for good

I was impressed with the moving service they gave me. My price was almost as I was quoted and the movers came for pickup 30 minutes late and for delivery they gave me notice and I was ready. This was a move that could have ended in so many ways and Im glad it ended like this -- thanks for all the help

I got what I asked for

Just got my items picked up by cross country movers and so far so good. I can already say that I have had a smooth experience with them and Im sure the delivery will be just the same if not better. My crew packed everything as they should. Costed slightly more, but it was worth it afterwords when I saw the truck. Everything was wrapped and tightly secured in the truck .

Rudy and his team were excellent! Very friendly, prompt in returning phone calls, and in arriving to pick up items, and in dropping them off at the final destination. The movers were professional and used care when handling our belongings. They loaded all the items carefully and everything was delivered on time, and carried into the new apartment with no damage to any property.

I promised my relocation specialest to write a review when I finish my moving, Phillip this is for you and your guys. I had a pleasent moving with cross country movers from strat to finish. my movers for pickup and delivery were different but both teams introduced themselves before working which I enjoyed. logisitcs could have been improved though since I had to wait quite a whuile for my delivery to actually happen, but I got everything and im settled in thanks phillip and everybody else.

Cross country move

Good moving company. The price was reasonable and the service was good.One of my dinning chairs was broken but it could have been worse. they could improve their customer service and delivery times though.

Service was great

The movers were very helpful and polite and showed up on time. Service was great - they packed everything neatly and carefully and moved everything into the trucks and to our new home. Very organised and quick work. They came with a small truck on pickup for a very large move, so the move was delyed by a few hours in order to get us a larger tuck. That was my only negative feedback

Amazing! This is how a move should be. And how a business should be run. These guys were honest, straight-up, professional, knowledgeable, well-equipped, hard working, positive and enthusiastic right from the initial estimate all the way to the final billing. It was the best move I ever had. Just a first class act, all the way. I will definitely hire these guys again in the future.

Successful Moving Experience

I called 3 separate moving companies... these guys answer the phone when you call! This is a family business and it runs on its reputation. On move day I had 3 strong guys using all the right equipment (new dollies, 24' truck with lift gate and ramp) and moving fast... They successfully emptied our apartment and moved us to our new condo within the delivery window that was quoted to us. My wife didn't have to lift a finger and i really just moved some small stuff... Cross Country Movers is a great moving company.

Recommended

Cross Country Movers made our move so easy from Wichita to New York. We have 2 infants and towards the end of packing, we got a bit disorganized. However, the 3 movers we had were amazing, patient and kept everyone in good spirits throughout the move. We will definitely be using them again in the future and would recommend them to anyone. So glad that we used them from our move from a condo to a house.

Best movers I have ever used

Cross Country Movers are the best movers I have ever used. The team arrived early on moving day, were fast and professional, and very pleasant to work with. Nothing was damaged, and they were extremely careful with everything. There were also no hidden charges, which I was afraid of. I would absolutely recommend Cross Country Movers, and will use them again.

SCAM: Don't Use!

Do not use this company, which also goes by Cross Country Movers! The driver threatened to leave with the rest of our stuff every time we would take pictures of damaged items or the large scratches they put in our new hardwood floor. We paid for reassembly of furniture but the driver went to leave without reassembling any furniture without even telling us he was going. We ran out and caught him getting into his truck and he nearly slammed my wife and infant in his truck door in his haste to get away. After multiple complaints and them trying to appease us with $150, even though they ruined our floor, furniture and nearly physically harmed my new baby, they have since said that nothing will be offered as compensation. Despite multiple calls and letters, they will not even tell me the name of the truck driver, who also refused to give his name when he was on site. This all occurred after waiting for more than one month in an empty home with a baby before the furniture ever arrived. Do not use ALL USA Van Lines or Cross Country Movers!!!!

Hard workers

I was having a bad experience with another moving company I was thinking of going with. After calling Cross Country Movers I decided I would go with them. The day of the move they arrived early. They wrapped and took great care with all my belongings. They were quick and worked very hard. When we arrived to the new location the sofa was a bit big for the door and I thought that they wouldn't be able to get it in. They did however get the sofa in after really working hard. It was a great experience and I will use them again when I move from this apartment.

I was extremely surprised by the high quality services I received. Excellent communication during the planning phase, amazing punctuality, professionalism and efficiency while delivering services. My move successfully completed

After living in their home for 17 years, my parents were moving. It was a very emotional process but the guys were outstanding and helped to make this transition go smooth. They were professional, organized and efficient and were able to get everything moved to the new apartment and bring some things to storage. I would definitely recommend Cross!

Overall a good experience

Great moving company Movers were friendly and took care when moving our furniture, They arrived when scheduled and worked the whole time without taking a break (The move took approximately 11 hours including drive time). The movers were able to get some large furniture out of the basement which was a feat in itself. We asked them to disassemble and reassemble the beds which added to the original estimate. There was also an additional cost for moving our piano. We did the packing of the small household items and clothes.

Terrible Experience

Company lacks integrity. Can not be taken at their word and don't deliver on promises. Still waiting on my stuff, no delivery date in site. PLEASE do not use these crooks. There business license needs to be revoked.

Good movers, got the job done

Moving is always awful - no matter how organized you are. Cross country made it so much less painful than it needed to be. We moved in late winter and they were hardworking and cheerful all day despite the -30 degree weather. They were a bit late because of a car fire on the highway - but that wasn't their fault. They were worth the wait. We highly recommend them.
