Goods held hostage since 19 Sept

We used In and Out Movers in Sept but then instead of delivering our goods on a given day we never heard from them again. We were able to locate a warehouse in Elizabeth,NJ that housed some of the goods In and Out were storing. We are currently driving a rental moving truck,with most of our goods from Elizabeth NJ to our home in Myrtle Beach. Locating, identifying, and retrieving has all been on us and our pocket book. There are still a LOT of goods in the warehouse in NJ.

NEVER, NEVER USE THIS COMPANY, UNLESS ...

I did not realize when I hired In and Out Movers back in May that they are simply a moving broker who sells your move to a third party. At pickup I was told by their rep that they would store all my possessions in their warehouse in New York for $240 per month with the first month free. This was a lie as my possessions were stored at an Extra Space Storage in Brooklyn NY without telling me.I ended up paying over $2000 in storage and late fees and In and Out Movers made no attempt to retrieve my stuff from NY and bring it to me in Florida. Despite many calls (most never answered) and many promises it was left to me to negotiate with another independant carrier to deliver my stuff to me in Florida. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, STAY A LONG WAY AWAY FROM THIS UNSCRUPULOUS COMPANY!

It was pathetic.

It was pathetic. In a small statement. It was not at all great. The promised that initially, you know after placing the order I got to know that they are a broker and they use a third party to ship the furniture. I was told before while placing the,while booking the amount of $58, they told me that next Friday or something before the 5th my transportation would be done. Since I was relocating to Raleigh on the third, they told me that because the 4th was a long weekend that by the 7th I'd get the furniture but I didn't get it until the 12th or so. They wouldn't tell me the shipping company name, the third party that was shipping it. They have done by the 19th so I was without furniture for 15 days. In that furniture also, I lost a few of the things which I told to the third party. it was not at all a good experience with them. And whenever I call them after that no one is taking the call.

They did not hold up their end of the bargain. They told me that they needed a two day window, Friday and Saturday to move us. And they told me they would call the day before. On Thursday, I did not get a call so I called them. They said it would be Saturday before we can move you. I said that will be fine I was told it was a two day window. So on Friday they had not called so I called them. The girl said let me speak to the dispatcher. She came back on the line and said it would be up to two weeks before they could move us. They did not have a truck in North or South Carolina that could move us. I said that is not acceptable. She said I can offer you a refund, And we have not received our, because I had to pay a $200 deposit with my credit card whenever I booked the move with the customer service representative. And I am still waiting for my credit on my credit card to show up so at this point I am not very happy.

Stuff missing

This company is a fraud. They took 70% of the amount from us and it's the third week that we are waiting for our stuff. They don't pick phone and answer emails. Randy G and Steve are the master minds. They know how to fool people. I have already initiated police complaint against them. Company with transport department also with BBB.

My piano is missing legs and it's ...

I have a piano currently that is missing legs and a bench. And it's sitting in my living room. It has been sitting in my living room since they brought it here. My experience was not good.

Greatest and Smoothest Moving ...

I had moved many of times and have always had the company I worked for Pay for moving expenses and was always moved by big company named van lines but since I didn't have to pay, it was never a worry for me. This time around was different, I decided to relocate on my own and had to cover expenses so I was worried not being able to afford it or worried I may have dealt with the wrong company. I shopped around several companies and received quotes with a wide range of prices and was getting more and more confused of the moving process. It wasn't until I received a call from Steve who actually informed me of many things in the whole process and how to protect myself from being scammed. That put me at ease and the fact that he was honest and straight forth with me that once I reserved the moved with him, I felt my things were gonna be taken care of and this whole process would be a smooth transition. Steve kept in touch with me throughout the whole process as well. The truck arrived on time with 3 well groomed and uniformed men ready to work, they had a heavy accent but the foreman or driver Pal was excellent, very courteous and really clear on everything that was going to happen with this process. I had some things that I didn't get a chance to pack before they got and Pal told to not worry and it would get taken care of. After everything was loaded I was then notified that my balance would even be slightly less due to the fact that the my move was overestimated which I assumed it was cause Steve wanted to make sure I had no surprises. Pal then proceeded to tell me that the delivery process would take 4-7 days and it ended up being 5, pretty accurate. My things that disassembled were reassembled and place it the corresponding areas as explained by Steve. All in all a great experience and I would definitely recommend there services to anyone trying to have a same move like mine went. Thanks In and Out Movers, you guys are the best!

Worst customer experience i've ever ...

1. Provided detailed list of major household items to be moved and was given an estimate of $1140.85 with a two day pickup window of 5/25/165/ 26/16. And a First day of possible delivery of 5/27/16. I paid 1/3 of the estimate up front. (without receiving any service). 2. Was called on 5/25/16 and told the movers will not be able to make it on 5/25/16 and will contact me the next day on 5/26/16 for ETA. 3. The movers contacted me at 1AM on 5/27/16 late on pickup. I was not on the premises when the movers arrived. They commenced to get my goods and fill the bill of landing and inventory list without me present. 4. I was needed in Maryland to accept the keys for my new apartment and could not be there. 5. My goods were packed and i asked the movers to not take one of the largest items on the estimate inventory list. A full sized couch. Which i anticipated would make my final bill come down in cost. 6. The inventory list had more than 30 boxes listed and extra bins and other line items i didn't have packed and in my home. The list at this point seems falsified and making it so my cost would go up. 7. The movers showed up at the Maryland address on 5/29/2016 late in the evening. this was days later than any estimate had stated. 8. a. The contents of the truck included my good less these items that are still missing to date: Kirkland Signature™ Ibuprofen IB 200 mg., 500 Caplets Bottle ($15.00 value) Kirkland Signature Vitamin D3, 2000 IU Softgels, 600 Ct Bottle ($12.00 value) GNC Protein Bottle shaker $ 5.00 value b. The contents of the truck also included materials/goods that were not mine. Two 5 foot by 0.5 feet bed posts 4 foot by 4 foot glass table with attached legs that had lots of packaging ( i was charged for) because it was included in the Bill of landing hidden in vague charges of other items that weren't on the truck. c. My dining room table was damaged with a 2 inch by 3 inch gash in the surface of the main table area. Price of Table $350.00 from Big Lots. 9. The bill of landing had no order number filled in. The paperwork was incomplete and solely was used for making my price go up. 10. Upon arrival i was so tired of this company that i wanted them to give me my stuff and leave so i sped up the process and helped them do their job by moving at least half the goods into the apartment. 11. After everything was moved in, he asked for payment and when given full cash payment plus a tip the mover continued to ask for more money from me. 12. I asked the moving company to reimburse me for the extra goods that were on the truck that were on my inventory list or if they weren't listed they were hidden in vague charges and boxes i did not include in the move for them. They ignored me for a month. 13. I'm filing a claim for the missing goods, damages, and overages in charges. 14. I ended up paying ~ $1,900.0

They were fine. The guys who dropped off my items weren't good. I felt uncomfortable to be with them. The pricing was fine.
