BEWARE...run don't walk

This company ripped me off under the name North America Moving and Storage. They apparently have changed their name and DOT number. I was robbed, almost all furniture destroyed by water damage or simply broken including 3 dressers, mox spring and mattress. Involved the DOT in Arizona who assisted me in giving them fines of invalid paperwork ad assuring they could not hold me hostage when theuped the price. A state patrol officer was here upon their arrival. \ Still a nightmare. Dressers were water logged and legs broken, and moldy which I was allergic to. Refused to move back out of condo. State Trooper intervened and could not legally order it but stronly reequested it be move to the patio. then I had to pay someone else $100.00 to get off patio. Ultimately filed a dispute with credit card comp-any showing dmage and police report of stolen items, which was substantial. Credit card company reimbursed me. But still massive loss due to damage and theft.

CON ARTISTS!!!!

DO NOT BE DECEIVED!!! This is not the reputable North America(N) Van lines you believe it to be. It is a knock off. It is an attempt by the owners of this company to lure customers away from that other good and reputable company. This company is made up of swindlers,con artists,basically the worst kind of human scum! They quoted my retired,schoolteacher mother $7000 to move her three bedroom home. Then later quoted in person at $14,000. But in the end they extorted $23,000 from her!! Yes,they took advantage of her. They held her furniture ransom. They damaged quite a bit of it. Do not use this company!!! You have been warned!!!!

I was quoted 1199.00 by David Ford, sounded good because of all his promises. Told him it was mostly boxes of household items

They scammed me

I had one of there guys come out and go through everything I was moving to get my quote so they knew what was there and by the time they actually showed up I had gotten rid of a lot of things they had quoted me on I signed my paperwork saying there were stairs and furniture was being padded up at origin then at the end of the day at 3:03 on 6/8/2016 they called the office and Eli called me and said it was double what they had quoted in the paperwork they added that I was told before the packing of the new quote which was not there when I signed it. I really couldn't do anything about it because they had my stuff on the truck and would not take it off without me paying for the labor and packing material which was 4000 so I was stuck. I still have not paid it yet I am needing others to join me in fighting this injustice they have been causing. my info is billy_harris4@yahoo.com if you want to go after it the more the better.

It was fine they just wanted cash in order to pay for it. it would be great if they accepted checks. But the initial quote they gave me, they doubled it when they picked up my stuff so that was kind of surprising.

The estimate that I was given through the internet did not match up to what I was charged and they showed up the day before I was to leave, I couldn't do anything about ti because I had to be out of my old home because I sold it. o I had to go with the price that they gave me, which was three times more than what the quote was.

I felt taken advantage of and scammed.

It was awful and I felt taken advantage of and that it was a complete scam. ...I got an over the phone quote for $1,400, the day of pick they told me they'd be there between four and six ... They didn't get there until 10:00 PM. ... He started in my garage which was the less important things ... Spent probably about an hour and a half doing that and came back in and told me that I needed to start picking and choosing what I wanted to take from the rest of my things because ... the price was over $6,000. ...I asked him how much it would cost for him to take off what he had loaded on the truck. He said it would be $2,500.

They doubled the price.

I had a very small move, I had six pieces. ... I got a quote on the phone from them for $810. When the movers showed up and finished moving it and putting it on the truck. They called the office and the office said $1600. They doubled the price, the price went up by 100% so I told them to take it off the truck. ... Finally negotiated it down to $1200 and when it finally arrived at the location, there was damage. I'm still negotiating, trying to get that fixed.

IF YOU WANT ALL OF YOUR VALUABLES RIFLED THROUGH AND STOLEN, HIRE THIS COMPANY. The pick up of our things was straightforward enough, ended up being a bit more than quoted but we expected that as we added a few more boxes. Transit only took 1.5 weeks from Atlanta to NYC and that's not bad at all. Lorraine at the office handled my crazy calls like a pro when I started panicking about where my stuff was, she was super nice and helpful and passed along any and all updates that she could. Also the guys that delivered and unloaded my things in NYC were great. Super quick, efficient and complete gentleman all the way. They unwrapped all of the big items and placed everything in the correct rooms per my directions. They had the truck unloaded in about 1.5 hours. The trouble started when we were unpacking and found several expensive items missing from our boxes. Electronics, jewelry, clothing. All of it had obvious logos on it so we know what they were going for. I feel like i've been robbed and its super unsettling to think of my personal belonging being rifled through by thieves like it was a god damn free for all. Also, idiots you left half of the cords and parts of the electronics you stole so good luck using/selling them without it. Also have fun wearing my used and dirty Jordans that you took also as well as my gaudy high school class ring (really where are you going to pawn that with my initials and soccer jersey number on it). To the management team, try not to hire disgusting and crooked idiotic thieves for employees.
