Burbank Climate

With a Mediterranean Climate, Burbank sees its highest amount of precipitation in January and February and the least amount of rainfall in July. Ultimately, the state sees an average of 17 inches falling annually. The coldest month is December, with an average low of 41, and the warmest month is August, with an average high of 88. As for the spring and the fall seasons, March, April and May average between 46 and 76 degrees and September, October and November average between 46 and 86 degrees.

Burbank Neighborhoods

Named after New Hampshire-born dentist and entrepreneur David Burbank, the city has become famous for its Hollywood feature film productions, with some of the greatest motion pictures of all time shot in the sector. With many special instructional programs and supplemental services, students excel in a positive and motivated environment. There are also a plethora of private schools for area students who prefer a specialized and religion-based curriculum, As for post-secondary sites, Woodbury University is the most popular campus around for both undergraduate and graduate programs. With entertainment so popular in the province, the city also has several beauty schools to train in.

With a 7.5 percent unemployment rate and billed as the Media Capital of the World, Burbank jobs are bountiful to say the least. Located on Buena Vista St, the Walt Disney Company alone has almost 10,000 employees. Add Warner Bros. 8,000 staff members and NBC Universal's 2,000 workers, and you have 20,000 laborers working within just three organizations. Other top employers include the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center with 3,500 staff members and the Burbank Unified School District with 2010 employees. Between the entertainment, medical and education fields, finding a job is not too tough in town. As for business owners, the best connection to make is with the Burbank Chamber of Commerce, a local organization dedicated to keeping the economy strong.

Though the cost of living comes in at 1.3 percent greater than the state average and 32.8 percent above the national average, this California community is still quite affordable if you are a frugal, full-time employee. An average one-bedroom apartment with basic amenities goes for around $1,300 to $1,500 a month; however many upscale one-bedroom units begin at $2,000.
