No. OLED TVs should not be transported flat. Manufacturers such as LG recommend transporting OLED TVs upright (vertically), as laying them flat can place uneven stress on the thin display panel and increase the risk of damage.

If transporting the TV upright is absolutely impossible, follow the manufacturer's instructions for your specific model. Transporting a large OLED TV flat may increase the risk of screen damage, so it should only be considered as a last resort.

How to Transport an OLED TV Safely

  • Keep the TV upright during loading, transport, and unloading.
  • Use the original packaging whenever possible. If you no longer have it, use a TV moving box with foam padding.
  • Avoid placing heavy items against or on top of the TV.
  • Secure the TV so it cannot tip or slide during transit.
  • Lift the TV carefully by the frame, never press directly on the screen.

What About LED and QLED TVs?

Large LED and QLED TVs are also generally safest when transported upright. While some models may be less fragile than OLED TVs, transporting any large flat-screen TV vertically helps reduce panel stress and the risk of screen damage.

The original box and protective inserts are designed to support the TV during transportation and offer the best protection whenever they're available.

If you must transport your TV without its original packaging, consult the manufacturer's moving instructions for your specific model.
