Hello, and thank you for visiting Movers.com!

Typically, reliable moving companies do not request a deposit to book your move. While doing so does not necessarily mean the company is not trustworthy, it can be a sign of a moving scam.

If you have done a thorough background check on the company, checked their rating on the Better Business Bureau, verified licensing credentials and read customer reviews, you should be able to decide if the company is reliable and whether the request for deposit is reasonable or not.

You should also check websites like MovingScam.com and RipoffReport.com to view outstanding complaints against the company.

If you would like to continue comparing quotes form moving companies in your area, you can fill out our quote form to be contacted by up to seven reputable movers near you.
