I need to get a baby grand piano moved from West Chester Ohio, to Lancaster Ohio, sometime within the next week. I cant afford the $800-1100 dollar rates Im being given. The piano is being given to me free and I am on a VERY limited budget of about $300 What are my options? I dont know if I can find enough men to go down with my husband to get it ourselves.

January 11, 2016 Hi Debbie, and thank you for your question!

Special movers and moving labor

We understand that you'd like to move a baby grand piano from the Cincinnati, Ohio area to Lancaster, Ohio sometime in the next week. Since your budget is so limited for this job, you may need to consider other options. If you'd like, start by filling out a free quote form on our website to receive estimates from special movers. These moving companies specialize in moving items like pianos, so they may not charge as much as traditional moving companies.

If these estimates are still too high, you may want to consider hiring moving labor. If you visit our Moving Labor page on our website, you'll be able to request quotes from moving companies who offer moving labor services. These companies allow you to hire as many moving professionals as you need for a specific amount of time. So if you hire 2-3 movers for a few hours to move the piano, you may end up spending a lot less than anticipated.

Best of luck, Debbie!
