Hello, and thank you for visiting Movers.com!

If you have a significant amount of fine clothing, furs, vintage clothing or other attire that could ebcome easily damaged, you may want to invest in some wardrobe boxes for your move. Rather than stuffing your clothings into boxes or suitcases, wardobe boxes are equipped with a built-in metal bar to hang your garments to prevent crushing or creasing. Made from sturdy double-walled cardboard for optimal protection, wardrobe boxes are simple to assemble.

  • Take the flat wardrobe box and pop out the sides to create a square.
  • Fold in the four flaps on the bottom of the box to close it to make a flat surface. Securely tape the flaps shut with strong packing tape.
  • Take the metal rod and insert it into the appropriate slots located inside the box on each side so that the bar is parallel to the bottom of the box.
  • Make sure that the rod is stable and will be able to withstand the weight of your garments hanging from it.
  • Place your clothing items on hangers (use padded hangers for your most delicate pieces) and hang them from the bar as you would in your closet.
