Before you start moving furniture you need to first measure your couch and compare the dimensions of that to your doorway. There are a few tricks you can try even if you think your couch won't go through the door.
The first trick is to stand your couch up and see if you can’t get a good angle to slip your couch through. If that doesn’t work, and going at another angle doesn’t work, you can take the door off if you find that to be a hindrance to moving your couch out.
If none of those options work, you might need to think about disassembling your furniture more than just taking the legs off. You might need to take the arms off by removing the staples holding the upholstery to the base of the arms, then unscrew or unbolt the arms of the couch from the frame, pulling them off when they are loose. Doing this should make moving the couch much easier if you are having difficulties.
