Overall the experience was good.

They were professional and they arrived at storage in a timely manner. They told me approximately what time they would be here to unload because when they finished loading up the van, it was going on lunch time, so they wanted to break for lunch and I told them that was fine with me. They were a little delayed coming back or coming to my house, but when I made a phone call the person I spoke to explained that they had to stop and re-fuel the truck, that's why it took extra time for them to arrive here, but overall the experience was good. They do not watch out for the ...

The mover was very nice. I was not happy with the situation how the furniture did get damaged, they did not wrap the furniture...when going through doorways and stairways, a couple pieces have been marked, scratched, chipped from getting banged. I had to really indicate to them on my curio cabinet to be careful with that one, because it's glass and I didn't want it marked or scratched. I wouldn't use them again for that reason. They do not watch out for the furniture as far as protecting it. Read more

Good, but not Excellent

Nick is definitely the backbone of this moving company. He is respectful, conscientious, and careful with all of our belongings. Nick was communicative, especially during the transport of our belongings from Louisiana to Texas. One thing to know is that Nick hires additional labor to load and unload. The crew we had in Louisiana was careful and great. Abba Movers fell short of an excellent review me because of two reasons: 1) Nick's father in law, Mario, who helped in the move, complained excessively from Louisiana to Texas. When we first called Nick for the move, we invited him to come out and estimate, but he indicated he was able to estimate on the phone, sight unseen. Mario complained about how much stuff we had, and how much he was "loosing money." Yes, we ended up paying for additional out of pocket and then some over the binding estimate. 2) The crew Nick hired on the Texas side was a little hard on the belongings. Although only one lamp ended up broken, the Texas crew banged furniture into door frames. All in all, the move was smooth, but we would have welcomed a little less complaining from Mario. Read more

Price was high, but services were ...

I found the price was a little high because ti ended up costing us total almost $700, so I found that was a little costly because we did all the packing. Other than that the services were good, they people were really respectful and did a good job. They worked. The biggest problem I had was with the financial aspect of it. Read more

The movers were young and energetic

The movers were good. The things I would say positively about them is that the movers were young and energetic. The firm seemed to be oriented towards training and education in the art of moving so that the people that actually did the move had not only some experience in moving but also a certain amount of training in regards to how to do it in a way that would protect them in terms of their bodies and our stuff in terms of not getting dings or damage to the materials. They had two young men who were very polite and gentlemanly, they came and they moved every piece of furniture that I wanted. They made it look so easy. Smooth moving experience

We were very pleased with them. It was a very good move, they showed up on-time and they were here pretty quick. We just had about 10 big things and they moved them real well and got everything from one house and on the truck and out to the other house in just about 2-3 hours, so we were real pleased with them. They were just two -- it was Nick and some young boy who was helping him -- and they did a good job. They just moved some appliances and a sofa and two or three big desks and there wasn't anything loose to pack, I had everything ready when they got here. The pricing was good, I paid them about $360 and it was real good. They were very fast and very helpful ...

I ended up hiring this company, and they were wonderful. They took only half an hour's time to bring my cot out of the balcony. There is only minor damage to my cot. As I was charged on an hourly basis, they completed everything in two hours. They have cheaper prices on an hourly basis and are a little bit more expensive on fixed prices. Outstanding customer service and I am ...

They protected our furniture and covered them with a state-of-art material to ensure that nothing got scratches. It was raining on our moving day, and because of rain we reached our new home in 9 hours instead of getting there in 6 hours. And nobody complained about that. They were very hardworking and they were very polite. I already recommended them to one of my friends who took their number from me and they also used them too. I am extremely happy with my move. told they would arrive for 9am, did not get there till 9;45 am ad ended at 3:45 pm after packing up took an hour for lunch stopped at drive thru and sat in truck and ate in my driveway they supposedly emptied truck out , but left an item in the truck and did not contcat me the mover contacted his boss at Abba mover on phone and gave him the amount I owed him i was not provided with any documentaion or receipt of payment . Terrible moving experience

I am aghast at the poor service I received from this moving company. They have done such a horrible job. They arrived late and brought a smaller truck than what I specified. My furniture got damaged - it was badly broken and scratched due to my items being stuffed and packed too tightly in the moving truck. Read more
