Horrible, stressful

Ended up being the worst move ever !!! Damaged, lost items, demanding final payment in CASH !!! They even signed a note saying they dropped and shattered 2 large matted, framed paintings ! (Repaired for $155 alone !) Filed a Claim for almost $3,000, with tons of documentation and photos. Final settlement offer was $110. A slap in the face ! And, after receiving the settlement offer (I finally signed, notarized, and gave in), they haven't even paid that !!! Many have had this same bad, stressful experience with them. Very BAD. Disaster company

I moved from Las Vegas to Charlotte in Jan of 2021 and hired Authority Moving Group (AMG) to help me find a moving company. I had recently had shoulder surgery, hence was in a sling and couldn’t pack anything. AMG recommended I pay for the upgraded package which would include the packing and unpacking everything for me. I agreed and was promised top-notch service where I hardly had to lift a finger due to my disability. Unfortunately, I had one of the worst experiences of my life with this move. The packing was pretty smooth however the unpacking, not so much. In our contract I had signed that I won’t be able to receive the load until 2/2, however, the movers got there a day before. On 2/1/21 the owner of ABC moving company, Daniel, called me that day while I was at the airport, 15 minutes before boarding on the plane, and said that his guys were 20 minutes from my house in Charlotte. I explained that I won’t be there until 4 pm and they can come tomorrow, but he insisted that I need to get someone there or they would just leave everything in street. He argued that he didn’t want to pay for his movers to spend a night in a hotel. We kept arguing and I had 10 min to come up with a response since I was getting on a plane to head to Charlotte. I called my real estate agent and asked him to let the movers in, hoping I would be there by 4pm to check on things and pay the remaining balance. Daniel said that the balance of $1309 had to be paid in cash before they unloaded the truck, so I asked my agent pay them. When I got to my house in Charlotte at 4:30 pm, one out of the two movers was sitting on the sidewalk with a swollen ankle, possibly broken and the other mover was doing everything. Supposedly he hurt himself moving the fridge and now the Fridge was sitting on the sidewalk. I couldn’t do anything due to my shoulder, I asked if he wanted an ambulance or doctor. The driver, Ricardo, said no because he couldn’t afford it and his boss had told him not to call anyone because he didn’t want to pay for it. I asked what will they do about the move since everything was either on the sidewalk or garage and still had to be moved up the stairs to the kitchen and unloaded, unpacked and assembled as promised. The driver hardly spoke any English and had no answers for me. So I called Daniel myself and asked what the plan was. He had a very uncaring attitude and said that he will get someone as soon as he could but can’t guarantee anything or when. I said that I would like the last payment back as insurance, but he refused. I told him that I couldn’t trust them and needed some kind of insurance, he said no and hung up on me. WILL BREAK YOUR ITEMS

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Moved out of state -- they showed up on time and were polite, but that was the end of it. I paid them to pack my TV and to bring extra wardrobe boxes. They brought a regular box and just threw my clothes in. When they brought my personal items to my new home, they brought in three boxes that were not mine, which I sent back with the moving company. When unpacking, I realized that I was missing several boxes and that they completely ruined my TV that I paid them to pack (broke the leg off and the screen is ruined). Thieves! Criminals! Total scams!

ABCmoving guys simply stole my $2000 TV, and said sorry we can't find your 55 inch TV. After waiting 3 months to dispute with movingcalims they say they are generously going to compensate with $50 !!!!!!!! There is no customer service or anything to talk to, only one guy Ben who rejects my call. I also talked to the "owner" Daniel and he said he would talk to Ben, the day after I called again he had blocked me!! Their address is a UPS store address in IL. Besides stealing my TV at the time of delivery, they made me rent a Uhaul and hire other local movers to take my stuff home from a home Depot lot. Otherwise they would charge me another $350. ABC moving is a total fraud and these guys should have their license canceled by DOT and be responsive in civil court. Just step away from them as far as you can. Read more

Beware Wolf in Sheep's Clothing

Beware wolf in sheep’s clothing. I have moved cross-country 9 times and this was the ONLY time I had issues with broken items, lost items, overcharging, etc. Daniel was lovely and wonderful up front, someone I would be friends with and on the back end, he disappeared and wouldn't make the situation right, even though he promised to reimburse for what I had to pay someone to reassemble the items they took apart. A large percent of boxes were ripped or smashed in. When unloading and reloading the truck they treated my items like absolute trash and just destroyed them. I don’t know what happened but I’ve NEVER had a single item lost or destroyed in all my cross country moves and in this move, every single large item I have that was packaged by ABC Moving was damaged, destroyed or lost. —My wardrobe boxes of my nicest dresses was upside down and smashed in and when I opened it, the dresses were all scrunched to the bottom and there were 3 small boxes and my dirty VACUUM cleaner added inside the wardrobe box and smashed into my dresses and all retaped to make one single box. I had conversations with Daniel up front and I had wanted to buy wardrobe BAGS for my hanging clothes. He said no, they prefer wardrobe boxes so the clothes arrive nicely. Presumably during the truck reload in Chicago, they cut all of my wardrobe boxes in half, threw away the metal bars and smashed all my dresses to the bottom half and retaped them at half their size. I have 120+ items of clothing that arrived completely smashed in balls at the bottom of the boxes. Overcharge: Company systematically and intentionally underassessed on the front end and then asked for $2000 more on the back end, item content was similar or less than original scope (differed by 7 items including a cooler, step ladder, plant pot, and 4 boxes). I agree with their assessment of the items they said I have on the pickup end, however they gave me an inaccurate space estimate on the front end so I would choose them. We had countless conversations in detail evaluating my items and scope of the move. There is no physical way given the list of items from front to end that it went up by 44% in space (485 cu to 700 cu feet). They agreed to meet in half and only charge $1000 if I would leave positive reviews online. —Boxes marked UP with an arrow were upside down with stuff topsy turvy inside, small boxes with fragile items were torn in, there seemed to be complete disregard for my personal items. I’ve moved 11 times and done multiple cross-country moves and this is the ONLY time I’ve had anything broken or any boxes damaged, much less such a large % damaged. I don’t know who/what happened to my stuff in Chicago but I suspect that’s where the damage was done. Dodgy

Had to do half the work of the movers myself (moving boxes). Quote was wildly inaccurate. Actual moving guy made an antisemitic joke. Deliveries happen around when it’s convenient for them. They say 7-11 days but check the fine print: it says up to 21, so expect that. Take this advice: do yourself a favor: rent a uhaul, get some friends to help with your move (hell, pay them $1000 each and it’ll still be cheaper), insure your stuff, drive said uhaul. Save $4000. Excellent Crew

We had a very long and busy move and our experience was excellent thanks to Abc Moving systems and their customer representative. The driver and the crew that picked up on both ends of the move were fantastic. The price of the move was better than expected and reasonable. The breakage was absolute nil. I never hired moving companies while relocating in the past. However, having to move on my own drained me completely and I decided it would have been a better idea to hire professionals. I hired Abc Moving Systems simply because they quoted quite low and I was short on cash. I wasn’t expecting much from them but they really astonished me. The crew of 4 men was very effective. They were experienced and highly skilled. Their packing skills were out of this world. I never imagined how professional packing could look like. Everything was taken care of by these men and we didn’t even have to lift a finger. They delivered everything in great condition and unpacked everything into the right rooms. I had a wonderful experience with ABC Movingsystems. The moving team arrived on time and worked really hard to make sure that everything was wrapped the right way. Even at delivery they took their time to make sure that everything was placed where I wanted it.
