Furniture Ruined

We packed all of our boxes. We used the professional truck packers that Abf U-PacK Moving recommended to actually load the truck. Every piece of furniture we own is damaged from the trip. Deep gouges, scratches, dents, torn, wet rug. The contents of our boxes were not damaged, thankfully, we packed them very well, but the outsides were torn, crushed and wet. The packers claim that the load shifted and that they packed correctly. ABF claims that the packers did a poor job. Neither would take responsibility. We did not expect much in insurance claims, but they took zero responsibility. My recommendation - go with PODS and pack yourself! Read more

We liked the moving company and they did a real good job. The thing that I liked most about them was that none of our stuff was broken. They came on time, and picked up and delivered our stuff on time. The driver was also very friendly and gave us very good advice. Also the backend staff with whom we interacted were very friendly and prompt in responding. Pricing was comparable, neither too cheap nor too costly. But it came with flexible options doing the packing, loading or unloading ourselves. We found these options very useful. So, we just used their transportation service which brought down the bill when compared to an all-inclusive service. Read more
