Switch and Bait

Think twice about this company! We moved from NJ to TX last month. First off the move cost WAY (3 x as much) more than the estimate we were given, despite me speaking with them via phone about our apt size (a 1 bedroom) & filling out their inventory sheet to help with getting an accurate estimate, but OK, I understand that it can be difficult to guesstimate things and at that point we had no time to find another company as we had to move out that same day so we use up or savings to make the thousands extra $ happen. The original estimate was ~$1450, the final price was over $5800. Now our furniture was supposed to arrive on the 13th July, no calls from them last week so I chased up and was told things would arrive early this week. Ok, not what we had been told but things happen so we try to be understanding. Still no word by today so I followed up again now and was told maybe the beginning of next week!!! Ace are not even handling the delivery.....a 3rd party is. Equally annoying is that we are not even given the courtesy of being notified about all these delays. If I wasn't going to the effort of checking in we would have no idea what was happening it who has care of our things. So we will be sitting here in a empty apt for almost 2 weeks? I'm 5.5 months pregnant sleeping on an uncomfortable air bed with no cooking utensils, only a handful of clothes etc because it is somehow taking almost 3.5 weeks for our stuff to get from NJ to TX??? Not impressed at all. Dishonest communications, false expectations. Switch and Bait prices. Read more

moving was easy

Got a quote of 1$1800 base on the onsite estimate that was done prior to move date, on moving day movers showed up early morning labeled all boxes and furniture, protect all items and loaded on the small truck. a week a huge truck delivered all my belonging. Over all I was very happy with the service, will use them again in the future. Read more
