All My Sons Moving and Storage-IN

Dissapointing

Please always review moving companies before deciding on one, I wish I had. All My Sons Moving was extremely disappointing. I had them move my small two bedroom apartment less than five miles away. The move took less than two hours and it was a ten minute drive. I was charged over $500, they used supplies and charged me for them without asking first, they broke my antique wooden file cabinet because "they didn't secure it" during transit then just shrugged it off as if it wasn't an issue. It took them almost nine hours to move me out of the house, you would think that i lived out of a mansion. We already had the beds and stuff broke down. I had an upstairs and a down, also a shed. THey just took my stuff and stuffed it into a storage unite and broke something, I dont know what they broke but there was so much stuff in there i cant even see. They tried to charge me, oh my, they tried to charge me an extra fee. after they did that they still left stuff in my house. They did go back and get it but I had to go back and get a U-haul truck bring it back to my house and move myself. What else do you need to know? Read more

Didn't get some of my items

They didn't get some of my stuff and they put a lot of my stuff way up high where I can't reach it and it's still up there. They didn't get my rod and bracket for my drape and they're still in my old apartment and there's a cabinet that's still in my old apartment. I moved from 206 to 214. Read more

It was good.

It was good up until the time it was ready to move. They had scheduled me. Well, they told me I would be first in line. The day before they said I was scheduled from 11 to 3. The day of the move they weren't sure they could get me in, because somebody had gotten hurt. I believe the guy was lying to me. I think the guy quit, but anyway... They just weren't experienced movers. ...

I wasn't happy with them. I don't think it was their fault. They came from Indianapolis. They drove in a moving van. I guess they had other moves to do. They just weren't experienced movers. They weren't rude. They were pricey. More pricey than other movers. It took them a long time. They weren't great at packing the truck. They were nice movers. Very polite. Just inexperienced. It was fine, we didn't have any problems. The price was a little high but we didn't really have any other choice, so it was fine. What we were quoted and they were supposed to give us 30 minutes travel time on each end, but he ended up charging us for 1 hour of travel time on both ends, so that was misleading. We didn't know we were going to pay as much as we were. ... he got lost and had to keep calling me, so that was the only problem we had. ... They were late, threw our things ...

They had originally scheduled earlier in the day, around 8:00 ... They called again saying it would not be until noon ... And then they finally came at 3:00 in the afternoon.... I would hate to think that they handled their own property the same way that the handled some of ours. ...Some of the boxes instead of carrying out the moving van they threw them ... They left behind some of our furniture that we ourselves then later had to move. Some of our furniture that they did move was damaged. So I am not really pleased with them at all. Read more

Movers were great, but the dispatcher ...

Once the movers got there they were great. The dispatcher was awful. He would promise us when they were going to be there early one morning, so we sat there and then he called us and said they got busy on another job it'll be late this afternoon, then they didn't show up for that - "well they'll be there in the morning." Finally, and we were packed and ready to go ... the second day, three movers came and within three hours they had us packed and moved and unpacked and ready to go. They were excellent! But the dispatcher here in Indianapolis, is AWFUL! I don't know if he was outright lying to us, but he would promise and promise us. Once they got there, I liked the company, but the dispatcher. Moving experience

I scheduled 2 movers to unload a truck that I was driving from Chicago to Indianapolis. This move was scheduled weeks in advance because June is a busy month for moving. Three days before the move, I received a call from Danny ( a dispatcher) and was informed that a "crew" was not going to be available to help me unload my truck. Office and admin was horrible, movers ...

It wasn't great. The actual movers were wonderful, the front office and administration were horrible. They didn't get my times right, I ended up moving six hours on the day they were supposed to pack my stuff. The move itself went pretty smooth

It as ok, my wife however lost a wedding ring. We haven't gone through all the boxes so we don't know what happened. A police report was made but other than that, the move itself went pretty smooth. They did some packing on the day of the move. Nothing was damaged that we know of but we plan on moving again so we have a lot of stuff just put in our basement. The movers were fine. Read more
