Awful Experience,do not chance it!

wful experience. I could go on and on about how awful this company was but heres a “brief” summary. Didn’t send a big enough truck for a 3bdrm 3 bath move and they knew exactly what I had…only sent 2 movers,one of which told me he doesnt do moves that he works in warehouse and they sent him because they didn’t have anyone else,but he had to be back at warehouse by 5. Since he had no idea what he was doing,my freshly painted house has deep knicks and dings in the walls,got 3 quotes to fix ($600,$550 and $300). Then the guy took a paint can to prop open a door,kicked can over,spilled paint all over my deck and trekked it into my house on my hardwood floor,didn’t tell anyone,I saw it. To clean that ($325,$350) I got 2 quotes. Also,a brand new air fryer was stolen,mover asked me if it was going,I said yes,saw him put on truck,never received it at new house. They offered me $4 for that. Dropped a bed frame on my wood floor and dinged that. Couldn’t put any furniture together after I was told they could assemble furniture! I Put in a fair claim for $675…they offered me $150. Adter what I paid them for a crappy move it was completely unacceptable. After calling numerous times and leaving messages,finally reached someone. Spot cleaning” or spot fixing. Apparently they’ve never had to sand down multiple walls and repaint or clean paint off a deck. I didn’t even put in a claim charge to restain the deck once the paint is lifted. They are completely incompetent and not customer service oriented. They don’t care about your things,your home,or their customers,or repeat business apparently. I wish I had read the reviews. Do NOT use them. I’m happy to provide pics to show how great their warehouse workers are at moving items and propping open doors. Read more

I originally contacted All My Sons because I was moving a one room bedroom from Florida to Nashville, since I was driving it myself all I needed help with was moving the furniture. When I received the quote over the phone the salesman told me all I had to pay for was a minimum of two hours of labor. I agreed and drove myself to Nashville and was met by the movers. The movers did a great job but took about an hour to be completely done. Once I got the bill it turned out to be over $500 for travel, 2 hours of labor, and gas for their truck. Once I called management to try to explain my situation he stated "yeah I would have never agreed to that myself but I can't do anything to help you". DO NOT USE THEM. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau and the US department of Labor, my case is pending. Read more

They were not very careful loading my ...

We booked four movers to move us out one day and moves in the next day. They only showed up with 3 moves and even though they were nice I have a lot of furniture damage a lot of nicks and scratches and stuff. So they weren't very careful when they were loading the truck and no I would not hire them again. Read more

I wasn't too happy.

They were too expensive and I had two missing items. I'm not going to file a claim, I've been through that game before they would've just stonewalled me and not only get 60 cents per pound, so I'd end up getting 20 bucks at most so I mean, it's not really worth my time and heartache. It was over 700 bucks and it was a 1BR apartment and I think that's way overpriced, I would expect maybe half that as a reasonable amount but that might be the market price. Read more

Not acceptable.

I scheduled a move and it would be ready for the morning appointment so I opted for the afternoon appointment. I was under the impression they would be around at 2 in the afternoon and I basically had to beg them to send movers and they ended up coming at 7 pm. Not acceptable. Read more

They were dishonest, and they ...

Well, I told them they were going to have to lift some heavy furniture, and the guys they sent couldn't lift heavy furniture. I had to wait for my son-in-law to come and help them lift the furniture. Then we sat around for 45 minutes waiting for my son-in-law, and they said they were going to stop the clock and not charge me for that time... and they went ahead and charged me for it anyway. They didn't bring a big enough truck ...

Well, I told them to bring a lift gate truck because I had a tool box that weighed over 1,000 pounds. It's hard to push up a ramp. So, they didn't bring that. They didn't bring a big enough truck to haul all my stuff to my new location. It was just a bad day. All the way around. Read more

Fast and cheaper than expected.

They were on time. They the two people you guys recommended, they were the ones who actually came to my house prior to giving me an estimate and looked over all my stuff. There were no hidden charges or anything it was what it was, it was actually less than what it was because it took less time. So they gave me a quote but because it took less time to get it all done it was actually less than what the quote was. I like the fact that this company came out and looked at all my stuff. They didn;t try to milk the clock.

They were on time, they were very good. In fact, they didn't try to milk the clock or anything. They got in, got all three bedrooms and the living room and kitchen done in an hour and a half and didn't break anything. They had everything wrapped and it it in the truck and got it out in the same amount of time--about an hour and a half. Read more

The movers were tired, caused damage ...

They sent out two guys, apparently this is their second job. They were tired. They did a good job as far as packing ... They were very cautious on bringing stuff, you know, moving stuff out of the old house. By the time they got to the new house they were less energy, taking more time. We ended up having a third guy come out, who ended up throwing up in the yard. And there's damage to our walls, floors and kitchen table. Which, that's been a month ago and they still haven't sent out this guy ... He was supposed to come out two weeks ago ... He did a no call, no show ... I've still gotten no response. Read more

They went above and beyond

They moved quickly, minimal damage to my furniture, they were very friendly and they went above and beyond. One of the guys, we couldn't figure out the furniture arrangement. He just quickly said, this should go her, here, and here. And he was absolutely right and so that's exactly how the furniture is arranged, just as he suggested it. So they went above and beyond what they were supposed to do which was just simply move and put the furniture in the house. They took their time yet moved quickly and efficiently. [Pricing] was awesome. Really good price. It was reasonable and they quoted high, but also mentioning that they gave us the worst-case scenario price and best-case scenario price, and then they came in even under the best case scenario. It was a smooth move

They were very good. They were very helpful. I had to change the date and that was done quickly. It wasn't a big move so it wasn't really a complicated procedure. The two gentlemen that moved us were very helpful. I wasn't there because I took my sister away because she was very stressed. My daughter and my husband were there when they were moving. I guess there was a small lamp broken from one mover and he said that could be a claim. I checked to get a claim and they sent me the claim papers that says you have to have receipts or pictures of the broken item which we haven't done. My daughter said that when it was broken they just threw it away. It would have been helpful if the movers would have said something about that but they didn't. So that was a hurricane lamp so when I went on the Internet to see how much it would cost to replace it they were quite expensive - $369 to $600 for some of them. It was a very nice little lamp. I regret not being there because I would have had the foresight to pick up the pieces and take care of that. My daughter and my husband didn't realize that. That was the only bad thing. Other than that the movers were very helpful. They had to do quite a bit of extra work because we had to stop in between and put some things in a storage shed that we had gotten for her extra stuff. They were all very helpful, very cooperative. There was no problem. I wasn't there to see what they were doing but according to my daughter they did a very good job. She said that she wanted to tip them a certain amount because they did such a good job, which we did. The customer service team was very helpful. I don't really know what more they can do. They took care of everything. They were on time and they let us know when they were coming. It just went very smoothly. They kept their promise

It was pretty good for the most part and I had some damages to one of the pieces of furniture and I am working out a claim for that. The best part of the move was they kept their promise and finished on time. They kept me in the loop about when they were going to be there. I would like to extend my gratitude towards this company which has helped me move smoothly. The movers were fast, helpful, and strong. They had to move up and down flight of stairs but didn't complain at all. I really liked their eagerness to go the extra mile and do more than what was paid for.
