Lawsuit in process against America's ...

As the damage/loss value is over $20K, in May 2022, a lawsuit was filed in Civil Court against America's Movers - the only recourse for a "fair/reasonable" recovery of damages. My current suit is in process, in October 2022. The pictures tell the story and illustrate the level of poor performance received from America's Movers. They offered $497.08 to compensate for apartment property and $15,307 in household items damages. America's Movers owner correspondence, "Your claim check will be for $497.80. Please confirm your address and name to make the check payable to." To Better Business Bureau, "We feel we have done our best to resolve this issue. We stand by the service we have provided. After reviewing his claim and pictures of his damaged items, we feel the claim check for $497.80 is sufficient." As a consumer, I strongly suggest doing your research, comparing multiple movers (and not on price alone) acquiring the extra insurance independently, and assessing the legal process if your move (with whomever) does not go as planned. Happy Customer

I was given the number to America's Movers from my neighbor who was also moving. I really liked how responsive they were and at the same time, didn't pressure me into using them. Once I decided to go with them, they were with us every step of the way. We got our estimate and were given tips on how to pack in order to save money on the move. On moving day, they were on time and ready to work. They were fast, yet careful. We had a few large art pieces which they wrapped and put in bins for safety. BAIT AND SWITCH

They load all your personal belongings and then raise the price. The lady Casy stated she messed up the quote so it will be 1,000 more than the original. So apparently we had to pay extra for this lady's incompetency. not to mention they stated that it would be 495 more than originally quoted then found out we sold our house and called literally 10 minutes later and said oh no its actually 1000 more.
