Worst Movers Ever

This company is a scam. They have 1 star ratings on BBB and other review websites. I set up my move with Belmont Moving who contracted my move out to Best For You Movers. Best For You Movers trippled the size of the cubic footage of my itmes. Tried to add $15,000 onto my original quote to move across the country. The amount of cubic ft they are saying I have, doesnt even fit in the truck they used. During the move, the movers gouged chunks out of the moulding in my apartment and just said "Moving, it happens." I had 2 stops on my original moving quote as well as a piano amd acted like they didnt know about the piano or the 2nd stop, even after showing the original moving quote from Belmont Movers. After that, they chaeged me an additional $7400, on top of the 50% deposit I paid. of $4000.00. Now they have over $11k amd will not move my stuff across the country until I pay them another $2000 for an extra month of storage. HORRIBLE!!!

They did NOTHING right. 4 days late on pickup. Then truck just sat outside of my old apartment for 2 weeks. Apt called me asking if that was my truck - they opened it up - guess what NOT LOCKED! and boxes inside had my name on. Delivery was late. Guy who dropped off was embarrased. He didn't want to say it, but he eventually got it out.. "you've got damage". He said he's seen damage before, but not like this. Then, they had no tools to reassemble the pieces that were taken apart or fixt the issues (bed, dresser, dining room table, etc). Several things were missing or damaged beyond recognition. Even things not actually "broken" are now all scratched up. Everything is scratched - they didn't wrap up anything! Oh, and they didn't take inventory either. Run Away! Absolute Crooks! Stay Away!

Absolute crooks. Attempted to charge my 87 year old mother double the amount of her binding estimate,arranged by a broker. Refused delivery of goods without cash and Venmo/CashApp or money order. We are retired military and this company did the worst packing job I have ever seen in a 20 year military career. Glass items literally thrown in boxes,no padding. Multiple broken pieces of furniture,glassware,decor,pictures. Missing items. No return call to multiple messages regarding 'insurance' for damages. The worst and terribly dishonest!!!! Stolen and broken/dameged items over $10K The Start-1st- the quote came in at more than 3 times the original quote from their broker (from $10K to $30K). This company is very dishonest

THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH ANY COMPANY! Do not do business with this terrible moving company. We got a quote over the phone and they had us measure every item, box, and tool. We gave them specifically every item and every size and did not leave anything out. They sent the initial quote and never mentioned the possibility of higher fees which we are ok with if it makes sense. They also never mentioned that the items might take more than 10 days to arrive to their destination...where we were going to be in two days. We're talking about clothes, beds, shoes etc. Moving day comes and the movers began to load our things into their truck, stopped halfway, and claimed that they only have space for half of our stuff for the price that they quoted us. Keep in mind that we measured every little thing and did not add anything extra to it. With the stress of moving to another state we told them that we had no choice but to pay extra at this point because we had to be out of the home that we were renting the next day yet was very unfair that they were charging us extra for the exact measurements that we gave them originally. They said that to get the remainder of the items in the truck we would have to pay an additional $1,000 dollars which we thought was outrageous. We agreed at that point because we had to be out. My wife signed that paperwork and she noticed that the driver added something manually after she signed and when she asked him what he was adding the driver said: "oh nothing just adding delivery date". They loaded our items into the truck and departed from our property. When we were calling their dispatch for status on the delivery they never wanted to give us information other than "it can take up to 14 days to arrive" which was never told to us. When they finally arrive to deliver our personal property they show us a bill that is now $900 dollars more on top of the $1,000 that they overcharged us when they picked up the items. To put this nightmare behind us we went ahead and gave them the cash that they requested, They unloaded what we thought was everything then realized that there was about 20 different things missing as well as 5 big boxes and 3 little boxes, I called their dispatch again and we texted back and forth with them and sent them a list of all the missing items. It took them about 2 days then they told us that they found the items in their warehouse and that they would deliver them to us within a week at "NO EXTRA CHARGE" since it was their mistake that they lost our items in the warehouse. The day comes when they are delivering those missing items and when the driver got here he says that we owe them $300 dollars more because they had to rent a truck to deliver our lost items...my head exploded at that point.
