Horrible

They were horrible. They scheduled a date and then they just didn't showed up, and I called and called and called, and he finally picked up his phone and then he was like "yea I'm not going to be able to make it I'm at another job i'll call you back" like whispering and then hung up the phone. And then I kept asking them for their mover number and they didn't have it and then I was like can you send an email to confirm, and they couldn't even send me an email to confirm my move. Read more

While reading some of the bad reviews I was a little skeptical about booking them but they had given me the best quote by far so I decided to try it out my move actually turned out pretty. So my move turned out pretty beneficial and cheap especially I was moving very far also worked hard and came with plenty of dollys blankets and straps for myn love to be quick and and organized. Ripped off. Gave different price, ...

I got proposed estimate $85/hr and $2/mile. In email clearly stated there will be 3 people. I ordered full service including packing. In email also stated. There are no hidden charges. This will be the fixed price. Movers showed up very late what was promised. Only 2 people came and there were no boxes or any packing materials. They left to get boxes and started packing from 12:30pm - 8:00pm which is only 7 1/2 hours, charged me more than 8 hours. Now stating will be extra for packing where in email shows clearly "No hidden charges". They're liar and big time cheaters. I'd never recommend them to anyone. If anyone has extra money, you can garbage it instead of giving them. Whenever I move, I used to pack everything on my own because of my health I can't it anymore. This is anything but stress-free

I have been thinking for days that I need to call and report this company to the Better Business Bureau and maybe even to the state of California if they have a moving control unit, because these people ruined my furniture. I have a coffee table that has six bronze colored pieces of glass in it and it is scraped up on both sides - scraped up as in ruined. My end table has a big piece of devil's frosted glass in it and that is chipped and cracked. My furniture is literally ruined - this was expensive furniture. The only thing I can think of is to give it to Goodwill. They moved a big cast-iron bed and they didn't put it together. They lost both. So my big cast-iron bed does not have all of the nuts and bolts that it takes to hold it together, so it shakes. Do you want to sleep on a big expensive cast-iron bed that shakes? If I had seen all this before I paid them, I would not have paid. My furniture is totally ruined. Read more

Moving Co. Nightmare! Must read ...

First of all, the owner never came to my home before hand to look how much we had. They asked on the phone "how many bedrooms are there?" and I told them 4. They said they only needed a 26' truck, they had moved many 4 bdrm homes. I told them my house was 2200+ sq.ft. and was packed. They said a 26' truck would be sufficient. It would take 3 guys about 3/4 hours. They came to load up and the owner was loading with 2 guys, then another guy came to relieve him. After 9 hours, the truck was full and there was still more stuff. The head guy called the owner earlier in the day to tell him it would need another truck ( which the owner already knew when he came into the house that morning and saw how much there was and he didn't even make arrangements for another truck at that point) and he told the head guy he would get one but he never bothered. Come 7pm the truck rental place was closed and we were stuck. He came to the house and argued with us that now it was going to be $3,200.00! So we had to agree. So we had to now wait until the next day. When they were moving things downstairs (the house was built in 1926) they tore up the stairs, there was plaster all over the place (when I complained about the damage to the house, they said it was an old house and that happens!!) and furnitue was being damaged. We finally got to our destination at 7:30 pm and they started unloading and I had to start taking pics of all the damage that was done to our furniture. Broken, chipped, scraped, hole in our sofa, legs broken off dressers, etc. When the head guy called the owner, the owner wanted me to pay before they unloaded anymore. I said I would pay when he sent me a copy of his liability insurance. It took him 3 hrs to finally send it. They finished unloading at 1:30am. It was a NIGHTMARE. The company could not have been more unprofessional!! If Movers.com continues to use them, they are doing the public a grave disservice. Our only recourse is to try and sue for al the damages, and there were a lot of them. Owner only took a pic of his liability contract and emailed it, you could barely read it. Read more

THE BEST EVER

My job requires me to move around a lot and so when it comes to moving I'm practically an expert. I have never bothered to write a review before but my experience with cal stress free moving was the absolute best I have ever had so I just had to let people know. There are awful companies out there who charge a fortune or may damage your stuff, cal stress free moving is a diamond in the rough so I'm here to spread the word. Pricing was fair, move was on time, delivery was a few hours EARLY and the whole staff was nice and available throughout the whole process.
