Dishonest and wasted my time

So this is how the auto carrier industry works. Brokers place a bid on the carrier market on your behalf (this is where their fee comes in), and carriers can take the bid or not depending if you set a good price. Carmover.com (not to be confused with carmoverS.com) contacted me and i initially told them i want to pay only 500 dollars, and will increase my bid as time progresses if no carriers are willing to take it for that price. So carmover.com places my bid on the open market and as i was expecting no one wanted to take the job due to it being too low. I call carmover a few days later asking them to increase my bid to 700 dollars. I was expecting a carrier to pick this up right away, but instead, carmover leaves my bid at 500 dollars, and then calls me up and tells me a carrier (no carrier actually called them) is willing to take the job for 800 dollars, and i said no, im sure someone will pick it up for 700 dollars. Two more days go by, and they call me again saying the same thing. A carrier will take the car for 800 dollars. I tell them no. At this point i knew they were being dishonest, so i called a different broker and told them my situation. The other broker confirmed that they did NOT change my bid like i asked them to and just left it at 500 dollars and trying to squeeze more money out of me. They did this and kept contacting me about drivers that will take it for 800 dollars to make me think that thats the going market rate for shipping a car. What i did instead was asked the new broker to place a bid on the open market for 700 dollars (like i asked carmover.com to do), and within 10-15 minutes, i had a carrier. Good job carmover.com on losing a customer to gaini this wonderful review over 100 dollars and being caught in lies. They chose a smart name for their company name since it would be hard to leave any type of google review for them. If you google their companies name, google will think you're trying to book a car move. Shady shady shady Read more
