NEVER USE THESE MOVERS

From the moment the City Express Movers walked through the door until the very end of the move, it was nothing, but a headache. To start, the movers arrived a 1/2 hour early and charged us for it, they had a condescending tone the entire time and kept reminding us to tip them well with a smirk on their faces. Keep in mind that I called in advance to make sure these movers were experienced in moving Tempurpedic bed frames and they said that they were. By the end of the move, my old apartment's walls were scratched to its entirety, all the the rods in the banister were knocked out, and paint was stripped off the walls. The movers repeated that it wasn't a big deal and that the landlord won't mind, but said that they would come back to fix the damage if it was a problem. I just called them to have them fix the damage and they declined and said I should have called sooner... I moved 4 days ago! In addition to that, they had 1 of the movers get in our car to take him to our new apartment without our permission. He didn't speak English so we had a quiet and awkward ride over to the new apartment. NEVER EVER USE THESE MOVERS. They are rude, careless, and a sorry excuse for a moving company. Read more

A Moving Company commitment

They are far and away the cheapest and most efficient company you will find. (I've moved five times in NYC so i've done a lot of research and trials.) I always pack myself, but they've moved two bedroom apartments for us in under three hours, start to finish.I really mean it when I say they are FAST and CHEAP. BUT they still manager to wrap everything for protection and handle fragile items with care, nothing broke. I think the secret is out, though, so book early. Also, be prepared that they can be a little gruff and unfriendly, especially if you try to give them special instructions by taking off couch feet. so I deducted a star, and because at the end they sometimes pressure you into giving a bigger tip.
