bad delivery, horrible experience

On 6/17/16 Shleppers movers arrived at my residence at 2101 E 21st St, Unit 202, Signal Hill, CA. They picked up my goods and departed. After they departed it was discovered they had stolen a bulletproof vest from my residence worth $1,200. There is a police report filed with Signal Hill Police. The delivery date to my new residence at 700 Spring Garden Drive, Bedford, TX, was listed “as soon as possible”. The delivery window for the move was 7-21 business days. The timeframe for delivery was June 28th to July 18th. The company stated they ship to Texas twice a week. Shleppers delivered most of our goods on June 30th. However, it was discovered 2 pallets of goods were not on the truck and was not delivered. Additionally much of the furniture was damaged to some degree and my motorcycle was also damaged. A call to the supervisor Jesse Heeber was placed on July 1 and he said he did not know where the remaining items were and would find them. That took a week and a half. I called on July 13th and Jesse said they were found and would ship out on the next truck. That date for shipment was supposed to be July 15th. Shleppers have been hard to reach, Jesse does not answer his phone reliably, and no one at the company will give me a firm date for delivery. great movers!!!!

this guys move us last weekend ,we very happy with the service .movers came on time did great with packing our thing and so fast load them .other then some heavy traffic on the way to our new home this move was great experience .not only this we end up paying less then what we quoted us by korvin from office due to less weight in our shipment .this was sweet finish so we decide to tip all the rest to movers . Do not trust this company

We were given a written quote of $840 for a "door to door complete move with no hidden fees and no weight restrictions". The movers finally showed up several days late and packed up using excessive packing materials which we were charged for (no hidden fees?). That brought the cost to $2370. Then when we had our belongings delivered we were told that the truck could not make it onto our road so they would have to use a shuttle service for an additional $525.25 ( no hidden fees?). The "movers" were a couple who looked as though they could barely lift the love seat much less the rest of the furniture. They unloaded everything into our front room took their cash and left even though they were supposed to set up our furniture. I have tried numerous times to contact their manager to get an explanation and have received no reply. They are deceptive and elusive when it comes time to answer for their under handed business practices. All of our furniture was damaged and some items never made it at all. They hide behind a poor employee who has to answer the phone and deflect complaints away from the people running the business. Their response to the Better Business Bureau complaint I filed is a joke and accuses us of lying about our experience with them. They should have their licenses pulled and I will be filing a formal complaint against them with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration ASAP. What a horrible way to conduct business. Great Experience!

Recently hired Civic Van Lines for an in-state move and I'm pleased to report that it was a great experience. After contacting several movers for estimates, some charging an arm and a leg, and others responding with emails in half broken english and horrible grammar, we decided to keep looking. Luckily I found Civic VanLines online and read some good reviews, and decided to give them a call. Got a really fair estimate for the move and decided to take a chance. If you are like me and fear that getting one of the lowest estimates in town means your furniture will arrive to its destination broken, missing parts, or not at all, I'm here to assure you that Civic Van Lines is one of the most professional movers I have ever done business with (having moved 7 times in the past 15 years and typically paying double what I did). They were quick and efficient but also took their time to make sure everything was done right and well protected.
