RUN - DON'T WALK AWAY - FROM ...
From the beginning until this moment working with Conlon Moving and Storage, carriers for United, has been an absolute nightmare. Multiple estimates were given before a final estimate was finally provided. Items picked up at the point of origin were not wrapped before they were carried out of the house - we were told they would be wrapped before being placed into storage. Delivery day arrived and someone else's items were on the delivery truck. When our items were delivered the furniture was gouged, broken and generally just beat up. An heirloom cedar chests' finish was destroyed. I paid $150. each for three television boxes when only two televisions were packed in boxes. I sent a ‘concern letter’ (Conlon’s terminology) which received no response, no apology, NOTHING except a confirmation email to say the Claim Form will be forwarded for processing. Claim processing has not been any better. A local company 'repaired' the furniture changing it's texture and coloring. The cedar chest is no longer the same color as well as the interior shelf was broken when returned. We continue to try and resolve these issues, as additional insurance was purchased, to no avail. I would NEVER recommend using Conlon Moving or United to anyone, ever.
