Nightmare move

We had them come out to do a complete estimate, as the State was moving us. We didn't want any problems. Later in the move they asked for another $488.00 for moving boxes etc. We did not pay. Many items were broken including antiques. Some damage to furniture. Said both trucks would be there at 9:00 a.m. and we would be done by 1:00 p.m. The second truck came after lunch and had not completely emptied the original house till after 1:00 a.m. the next morning! They were extremely rushing to unload just to get it overwith. They had another move they assigned the 2nd truck to, and he had under estimated the time it would take. Needless to say, we were not able to complete the move until 2:00 a.m. the next day! He claimed a one million dollar damage policy. We never got one cent from Cody or the insurance company for any of the damage. We had provided pictures of all the damage, and got many promises of payment. It has now been one year later and we have still received no money. Cody and his wife are very nice people, they just don't estimate the move well, and simply don't tell the truty about insurance paying for damages. He told us 2 months later that the insurance had writtin us a check for $168 on a better than $800 Claim, but needless to say we never received a check, and Cody would never even check on the so-called payment. As I said, this was a nightmare move. We have submitted the evidence to the State attorneys office, but he said it could be 18 months or more before they can take him to court. We would settle, but he hasn't even made a move to contact us, and won't answer any calls we make. Here is a clear case of Buyer Beware!!!!! He destroyed our deep freezer in the garage, and he deducted the replacement cost so he could have our damaged freezer. Our state relocation specialist was astonished, she had never seen such a bad move. We found them on Angi's list. No actual reviews were given. We had hoped Angi had checked them out.
