Ripped Off

Move was from California to Oregon. Retained Cross Country Movers to pack and move. The move cost 3 times the estimate, was farmed out to MoveR Van Lines out of Las Vegas. At 1 AM I discovered it was not the movers originally hired, and stuff was on the truck. Receipt of goods was to be June 1. June 11 it was finally received - paintings torn, Eames chair broken, antique clock in disrepair, and many many other broken and scratched items. The claims processor still has not worked on the claim. CSI.org. I had sent a video of belongings to Cross Country, who promised to take care of the valuables. The Eames chair repair cost $1600.00. All the above companies are disreputable and dishonest. My advice: read the fine print carefully! It says that it only pays 60 cents per 100 lbs. of goods. This doesn't cover anything!!!!! Antique armoire was scratched. So many items to be repaired or thrown out. Do Not Use either of these movers. Read more

Small moving job

Wonderful relocation services

hey moved very quickly and efficiently despite the challenges of moving out of a high-rise condo. They wrapped all our furniture and fragile items and not one item was scratched, dented, or broken. We were 95% packed and they brought in a few large wheel bins to collect all the odds and ends (this was incredibly helpful as it is hard to have everything 100% ready on the day of your move). When they arrived at our new house they kept up their quick and efficient pace and even moved things around a few times as we didn't know where we wanted some items to go. Hi , The movers delivered my stuff yesterday and everything went very smoothly First, I just wanted to make sure that you were aware that they did a very good job. Second, I told them that the earliest date that my things could be delivered to the new address. Unfortunately I have become ill, called the dispatch office and asked to push back the delivery To my surprise, the simple answer (the one I wanted, but was not expecting) was "sure" The understanding and consideration on behalf of cross country movers - Moving Company was overwhelming, especially in my condition.Eventually, I have received my delivery and the move was completed to my satisfaction Could you please make sure that the management is aware of this. The movers came to my place 15mins early - they were pleasant, social, talkative and most importantly - professional. They were able to get all my personals out w/out any damages or incident. When it came to moving my couch (which is very big and the elevator is so small) they stayed calm and did not get frustrated about it - they worked as a team and lessened the stress on me. Great Move

I called so many moving companies. There prices were so high. Besides the fact that I'm on a very thing budget. So I remembered my school mate. Whom let a year before had used them. I called him and he gave me their phone number. That gave me a referral discount that helped a lot. These guys came in 3 hours had everything boxed, wrapped and loaded into their truck. I payed half of my move at the pick up. I had some extra charges I didn't anticipate. They were nice to let me pay them when they delivered my stuff. I had a pleasent moving with cross country movers from strat to finish. my movers for pickup and delivery were different but both teams introduced themselves before working which I enjoyed. logisitcs could have been improved though since I had to wait quite a whuile for my delivery to actually happen, but I got everything and im settled in thanks phillip and everybody else. The movers were very helpful and polite and showed up on time. Service was great - they packed everything neatly and carefully and moved everything into the trucks and to our new home. Very organised and quick work. They came with a small truck on pickup for a very large move, so the move was delyed by a few hours in order to get us a larger tuck. Successful Moving Experience

I called 3 separate moving companies... these guys answer the phone when you call! This is a family business and it runs on its reputation. On move day I had 3 strong guys using all the right equipment (new dollies, 24' truck with lift gate and ramp) and moving fast... They successfully emptied our apartment and moved us to our new condo within the delivery window that was quoted to us. Cross Country Movers made our move so easy from Wichita to New York. We have 2 infants and towards the end of packing, we got a bit disorganized. SCAM: Don't Use!

Do not use this company, which also goes by Cross Country Movers! The driver threatened to leave with the rest of our stuff every time we would take pictures of damaged items or the large scratches they put in our new hardwood floor. We paid for reassembly of furniture but the driver went to leave without reassembling any furniture without even telling us he was going. We ran out and caught him getting into his truck and he nearly slammed my wife and infant in his truck door in his haste to get away. After multiple complaints and them trying to appease us with $150, even though they ruined our floor, furniture and nearly physically harmed my new baby, they have since said that nothing will be offered as compensation. Despite multiple calls and letters, they will not even tell me the name of the truck driver, who also refused to give his name when he was on site. This all occurred after waiting for more than one month in an empty home with a baby before the furniture ever arrived. Do not use ALL USA Van Lines or Cross Country Movers!!!! Read more

Hard workers

I was having a bad experience with another moving company I was thinking of going with. After calling Cross Country Movers I decided I would go with them. The day of the move they arrived early. They wrapped and took great care with all my belongings. They were quick and worked very hard. When we arrived to the new location the sofa was a bit big for the door and I thought that they wouldn't be able to get it in. They did however get the sofa in after really working hard. Overall a good experience

Great moving company Movers were friendly and took care when moving our furniture, They arrived when scheduled and worked the whole time without taking a break (The move took approximately 11 hours including drive time). The movers were able to get some large furniture out of the basement which was a feat in itself. We asked them to disassemble and reassemble the beds which added to the original estimate. There was also an additional cost for moving our piano. We did the packing of the small household items and clothes. Read more

Good movers, got the job done

Moving is always awful - no matter how organized you are. Cross country made it so much less painful than it needed to be. We moved in late winter and they were hardworking and cheerful all day despite the -30 degree weather. They were a bit late because of a car fire on the highway - but that wasn't their fault.
