Great decision

I had never had to use movers before but now that I am getting up in age my friend suggested I called dallas movers whose service he used before and was happy with. I had heard horror stories in the past but these guys where GREAT! They were on time and they got the job done with professionalism and a few laughs. Short notice move, but smooth sailing ...

I had to move from Dallas to Oklahoma on short notice, so with very little time to find a moving company I contacted Jaime at Dallas Movers based on the good reviews on this site. Since my move was on a weekday in the middle of the month, the crew happened to be available and we set everything up with a quick phone call. On the day of the move They were on time and got right to it without wasting time like I've seen other movers do. Tim and his helper completed my move of a 3 BR townhouse. Movers without problems

I used Dallas Movers for the first time this past weekend. Jon and his crew were polite and courteous. He was professional and definitely knew what he was doing. All my furniture was wrapped up nicely. I have a heavy and cumbersome dining room table which needed to be dismantled. The crew had no problem taking it apart and putting it back together. Did what they were supposed to do

The experience was good. It was actually my son's move and he has got the paperwork. Everything was good. They did everything they were supposed to do. Paid more than what was estimated

Initial experience was very good. They were very helpful, very nice. They set us up very quickly. However, the moving stuff was pretty terrible actually. I basically asked them - I am moving from Dallas to New York - how long it is going to take? Is there any way I can get there at a certain time? They said no they can't guarantee anything, which is fine. I understand that. If they had told me that I had 10 to 14 days or so - it would be very likely that I would have had my stuff when I moved over. So I paid them extra to take my stuff early. I basically didn't get any of my stuff until 20 business days or so. So I was in my new apartment probably about two weeks before they even moved any of my stuff from Dallas. Although they were well within the right for that time period, I felt like it was very unprofessional for them to basically say that I was out of luck essentially. So I didn't like that part about it. Also I was told that as long as I bubble-wrapped my paintings or my pictures, they wouldn't transport it . When the movers got in they insisted that I boxed everything. And because I had to box everything, they charged me $30 per box - four of my paintings which wasn't originally quoted for. And I actually moved fewer boxes than I estimated for. Couldn't cut those boxes as well. I ended up spending probably about $800 more than what I was estimated for. And I also got my stuff after a very, very long time. It took them a very long time to get my stuff. Read more

Service could have been better

Initially whatever they estimated, they charged me $300 more. When they initially came to my apartment to pick up the stuff, they charged me $300 more. They said this will take more space. Whatever service I requested, I received, but they were a bit late. They told me it will take 7 to 10 days but they delivered in 14 days. Packing was good. Not sure whether I will recommend them or not. They were okay. I got all my stuff in good condition actually. So that was a good part. Maybe I will recommend them, I am not sure. Read more

Great service

My experience with Dallas Movers was really great. They took an inventory of all my belongings over the phone to give me a price. The movers took a great care of all my things some of which are quite valuable. The cost of my move was very close to the actual estimate. I wasn't going to move my washer and dryer but in the end decided to take with and that is what raised the price. My items were intact and had no damage. Very Happy with this company

I don’t typically make the effort to write online reviews, but for Dallas Movers I simply had to. I have never been so unbelievably impressed by professionalism, especially in the field of moving. Most movers I have used in the past…something has always gone wrong. No not this time. I want to thank the employees from the bottom of my heart for making this stressful time so easy.
