I am unhappy about the move

I am not happy with their services. They took almost one month to deliver our items. Among my items, five items were broken, three boxes were damaged, which cost around $100 and a dryer and a table went missing. I haven't reported that to the company yet, and I lost around $100-$150 worth of damaged goods. The non-binding estimate that they gave was $1,500, but at the end of the move they charged me around $2,300 when they came to my home to pick-up our stuff. And then they asked me to pay $85 for packing my kid's bed. As it already went over my budget, me and my wife packed it. The best thing they did was unpack our stuff. They were not in uniform during the delivery time. They told me that they would deliver our items in one week, but they took 30 days to deliver our stuff. Read more

Need to take more care of my stuff

It was a bad moving experience. The guys were really helpful and friendly. But, the services delivered during packing and unpacking was not at all satisfactory. He was in a hurry to finish off the work quickly and a couple of pieces of my furniture set were damaged. Not a very good experience

It started off alright but no one would pick up the phone once the stuff was picked up. I would never use them again. The price was okay. The delivery was delayed by a few days but the problem was there was no way in finding out when it would be delivered and the communication was very poor. Read more

Terrible experience

Poor customer service

It is the probably the worst experience I ever had in my life. They promised a date to move my stuff, and they lied to me telling me that they did not promise the date. Worst experience ever

The owner took money from my credit ...

I had a terrible experience with the moving company which I used for my recent move. The owner of the company took $187 from my credit card, which was the most horrible experience. He charged me twice on the top of the quoted price. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Read more

Awful experience

One of the worst experiences of my ...

Even when I challenged the estimate I was told I would not have to pay more. Movers did not show up when I was told they would. I was ask to call back to confirm the move and when I did there was no answer and no voice mail - just music. The estimate went from $1400 to $4700. The movers showed up a day late and at 7:45 PM in a Budget rent a truck. I thought I was being scammed when I ask the driver to call his supervisor and he called the dispatcher and spolke in Russian. After some discussion the driver left stating he was told I was a "high risk" client and was told to leave if I didn't pay. As I had to be out of my housing by the next day I and two friends got a Budget truck and we moved me and I am still suffering the pain of bending and lifting. So you didn't move me. Read more

Dishonest pricing

There were several problems that I had with this moving company, one of which is the times which they arrived at my house to pickup my belongings and the time that they arrived at the destination for delivery. Both times, they came very late at night, around 11 for the pickup and around midnight to deliver my things. Also, the price that they quoted for me was very different from what I ended up paying because they added a lot of extra charges and fees when they arrived to do the move. Read more

A job that deserves a pat on the back

This is the first time that I am using a moving company and I am amazed at their services. The service at both ends of the move was good and I have no complaints of any kind. The movers were very considerate when I asked them to unpack everything outside before moving it into the apartment because of my toddler. No stress move

Direct Van Lines helped me out this year when i moved from Denver to Phoenix. I was very reluctant to trust any company, I wanted to do the move myself but I ended up booking because my furniture is too heavy to lift on my own. I spoke with Kat one of their reps who was very nice and explained everything about the whole moving process, she also gave me tips on what to look out for with other moving companies.
