Shady Operation

I was very thorough with the person on the phone with the amount of items I had and when everything was loaded on the truck I looked at all the belongings and went over them and some how, I feel like I was given a low-ball estimate so I would go with that company, basically. That person did not disclose a lot of extra fees that I basically had to negotiate with the foreman of the movers that came that day. I thought it was kind of shady. The fact that they under-quoted me so severely that I ended up paying $1,000 more on pick up day. All these extra fees like an elevator fee for the actual storage unit that wasn't disclosed to me over the phone as a potential fee. There was also a distance carry fee; I basically threatened to fire the foreman when they showed up and started giving me all these extra fees that day so I feel really did feel like it was a very shady operation that was not very upfront. They didn't bring all the items, I had to wait an extra three weeks for my grill to arrive. Everything did arrive in good shape, nothing was broken, no one behaved in an offensive manner, I think it was more with the office failing to disclose information or giving me a low-ball estimate. There were a couple of things that happened down the road. We had some misinformation about pricing. That was one of the things. The second thing was when I got the delivery in Arizona. The was only one piece of wood for my foosball table that was missing. I had an extra charge for the unloading. It is what it is. I've been in Florida for a month now ...

I was estimated a five to ten day delivery and we are going on the 26th day and they haven't even put my stuff on the truck yet. My stuff is still in Chicago and hasn't been loaded onto a truck.
