Horrible Customer Service

I made an appointment with Allied to give me an estimate. They're one of the few that actually tell you they will visit you in your home. So I made an appointment for today at 10am. Allied referred us to one of its subcontractors,Federal/Whalen Moving and Storage. At 10am Steve from Federal/Whalen called and in a cheery voice said,"Hello Mr. Lewis, I'm Steve, I'm from Allied moving.""Hi Steve," I say. "Are you on your way?" He replies,"Not yet. We have a one hour window." "That would be nice to know," I think to myself. "When will you be here?" I ask. Silence. "I'm not coming. I don't like your voice," says Steve,their representative. For the first time,I'm relieved that I only wasted my time. I didn't waste any further involvement with a company that would hire a character like this fellow. I can only imagine what the people in the rest of the company are like. Here's a hypothetical conversation between the movers: "I'm not moving this guy's furniture. What's he expect? On-time delivery? Maybe I'll take another hour break,Charlie. This guy has awful taste in furniture." Hang up on this company before you start with them. Read more
