There was a lack of communication and ...

Basically the first issue started with the selling point - so the salesmen and what they were telling me. Basically, I gave them a full run down where I was living and what needed to be moved. So, they gave me an estimated time frame to do the whole move. It ended up being three times that amount to get it all done. Basically, that had to do with sending inexperienced people that have never moved before. My understanding was that I was getting two experienced movers and it would take a reasonable amount of time, obviously because you're paying by the hour. Basically, I don't want to pay to train the new guys to get on board. That was the issue with that. The other issue was with communication between myself and the salesperson. Theming saying that the time was going to stop in between - the time when they were loading and unloading and the time to get to the new location. Their selling point was that the time would stop and there would be a flat $40 fee for that travel time. That was not the case. So, a lot of conflict and a lot of issues with that. I ended up calling the managers and saying that they either take my stuff back to my house and I would hire someone else to do it and not pay them anything or I was going to negotiate a flat fee with them because I needed to get this move done. It was shaping up to an $800-900 move if I kept letting it go the way it was going. Read more

I called them, someone came and actually gave me the quote by coming to my home which was very helpful. he gave me a fixed price which was going to be this is the minimum price, this is the maximum price depending on how much time it takes to pack and load and stuff like that. They showed up on time, they moved my stuff and I paid them. Read more

It was fair. They didn't seem to ...

It was fair. They broke a piece of furniture, my futon, and they said they didn't do it. I didn't argue with them but it was obviously done by them. Also, there's a couple of movies missing that I knew were in my dresser drawer when they moved it. They're obviously gone. The dresser drawers were rearranged. I don't know what that was about. It was weird they took a movie or two. Other than that, they did okay. They didn't seem to damage anything too badly. They were pretty quick with the move. Another thing I didn't like was that they negotiated one thing over the phone and tried to do something different when they got there in person. But for the most part, we stuck to the deal. Overall it was a pretty good experience ... They're very affordable, one of the cheapest I found in the area. They were on time. ...[But] they didn't really secure a lot of my stuff. They had all the blankets and everything with them but they didn't bother to use any of them. ...I had a leg of my TV stand broken, several of my dresser drawers were chipped.
