Packing Supplies
We have all the boxes and packing materials without delivery charge. Our Experts Packers can do the packing for you, and will take extra care to protect your irreplaceable and valuable belongings. We choose the correct size for all the items you wish to pack on your own, and on the day of your relocation our crew will arrive fully equipped to help you with any additional items you may have missed. Five Stars uses specially designed boxes for transporting electronics, computers and other value items.
Terrible experience
Absolutely terrible experience. If I could give it a negative rating I would. When they fist packed up my apartment in Boston they tried to add charges after everything was already packed up. Only when I said “ok bring everything back up then” did they meet me on the middle with a fair resolution. I put my stuff in storage until I had an address in my new location and once I had a delivery address I tried for a few months to get on a truck but communication was poor. The last email I received after that said “I’m working on it I think I will load up over the weekend I will let you know as soon as finish loading up the semi.” The next thing I heard was that the truck was 5 miles from the new city WITH MY FURNITURE ON IT! I had NO warning and was told that if I couldn’t accept delivery I would be charged for holding the truck up. I pointed out that I wasn’t even in the city and that it was 2pm on the Friday of a holiday weekend and I had no warning at all. I ended up having to scramble to get a storage unit in about 1 hour, have a friend take $3300 out of a bank to pay them on site because they refused to unload unless I had the cash. In addition, I had to pay $800 for an additional shuttle truck because I didn’t have time find a place that could fit the big truck. As I communicated this all I got was defensive attitude and no accountability. Even as I was trying to work this out with them they simply stopped responding to my emails. I believe they have predatory pricing. They low ball quotes but will to all they can do add additional charges when they have the customer over a barrel. I will NEVER use this company again and hope no-one else does. It’s sad that a company can stay in business with an attitude and communication like this. It’s well worth paying more initially for a reputable, honest moving company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I regret my decision to give them ...
These Guys are not professional at all, bad behavior and overcharged, broke your stuff and rude on site people. I had 1200$ Dinning table + Artificial Plant both broken and they said it's covered and claim a file. now they settled with 78$, so be aware guys before any movement. I will say do not let them handle your precious money. They said your stuff will be going in single truck, but they changed in 2 times in between as per delivery guys. We moved from RI to TX do not had even 400sqft of stuff and they made it 525 sqft and made all single items added for another 800$ extra as per papers. Please do not book these guys and I am not alone check more reviews if you do not believe me. These guys do not have their website reviews, their A+ rating is fake. You will regret as soon as you have your stuff in their truck, they will not give you final price before loading. They said stairs are free, on delivery we got to know 1st 8 steps are free, who does that and then charged extra 75$???? The humiliation will start when your stuff is on their truck and you can’t do anything, they will increase your stuff by adding more items and you will ended up paying extra including mishandling your stuff while moving. Please check more reviews on BBB before giving them business. I regret my decision to give them business and went with them by canceling the cheaper and good guy, just due to giving a chance to local business, but they don’t worth having even respect.

Horrendous Experience with Five Stars ...
LA and had everything picked up from my apartment to be moved on July 1st. After that moment, I literally never heard from them again. Two weeks elapsed and I contacted them, they were extremely dodgy and couldnt give me a direct answer as to when to expect my delivery. All I was told was it could take "14 business days" Fast forward another few days (mind you the 14 business days had elapsed) and I finally contacted an attorney thinking my furniture was stolen, and managed to get in contact with them. They became incredibly rude and unprofessional after learning I hired an attorney, and the 14 business days now turned into 21 business days (even though the signed contract receipt I had when they picked everything up said 14 days). Fast forward ANOTHER couple days, and I finally get a text from a delivery driver saying he's coming during the weekend (mind you this is now 3 days after the promised 21 business days and a MONTH since they had picked everything up). The driver arrives and informs me he was SUB-CONTRACTED and literally had NO ONE to help him bring my stuff up to my apartment. When I paid for the moving service, it's told in the contract that everything will be disassembled/reassembled and moved by the MOVERS. So after waiting a MONTH for my items, I helped this poor delivery kid bring all of my stuff upstairs, and STILL paid full price for everything. Most of the furniture had nicks and scratches in it. This entire experience was absolutely horrendous, and entirely unprofessional. This evolution ended up costing me over $2,000. In retrospect, I would HIGHLY recommend just renting a uhaul, or hiring another company. PLEASE do not use Five Stars Movers. Hope this helps some folks.' data-expanded="false">

They were great they handled everything they wrapped all my furniture They got to my new place and then we had a hard time because we have a narrow driveway but they got everything up and out. In terms of getting it in the house the contractor is still working on it so they only needed to deliver it. They made sure my furniture wouldn't get scuffed up so i was very appreciative of that

Horrible service
When I researched FSM, I was happy with the reviews and accreditation. When I talked with Erika, she was polite and helpful and the movers got my stuff moved out of my apartment with no issues. Unfortunately, that's where the good news ends! After the movers left, I never heard back from Erika for 2 weeks. When I did reach out, she always dogged me by saying that she'd look into the situation and return my call in a short while, which she never did! She consistently lied to me about knowing the state of my stuff. When I reached out to her today, she transferred me to the long distance movers. The guy I spoke to was very casual in telling me that they were delayed by a week and that my stuff would arrive sometime next week. There was no apology or attempt at sympathy! His professionalism was non-existent and he was more than willing to tell me that ”these things happen!” The only compensation I’ll get is $25 off the cost of the move and while that’s buried somewhere in the paperwork we signed, it now seems wholeheartedly inadequate! As I’ve moved long distance before and never had any issues, I find this company’s rudeness and unprofessionalism incredibly unacceptable, and therefore, I would never use them again and never recommend them!!!

They were OK, they showed up and had a truck that was half full of someone else's stuff and told me they were gonna have to get another truck possibly. They ended up charging me--they quoted me one price then charged me maybe $500 more. So that was kind of a surprise. They were able to get all my stuff on one truck and they kinda said it was my fault because I didn't tell them I had as much stuff as I did. But whatever, it is what it is. And they didn't tell me they dropped this item. I went to move it and the whole front door fell off.

Everything was really good
Everything was really good. They worked fast, they used their common for certain areas where we hadn't told them what they needed to do. There were few, I wouldn't call them mistakes but for example we asked them to put stuff in the basement and they just stuck things one on top of the other when the basement had a lot of space to spread it around orderly. So things like that, we did not give them specific instructions for the basement its just that I don't think its completely their fault. Other than that, no furniture suffered any damage and they were very willing to help us in everything we needed to do that day. So pretty much to me it was excellent job.

Not a happy move
My son paid for the move. Right off, they claimed to my son that the estimate they had sent to me was an old one and needed to be revised. What really happened was that the estimate was based on a detailed list of my furniture. The three men and the truck arrived on time and seemed to be professional and friendly, but either did not speak English or pretended not to speak English. They were supposed to pack whatever we (my wife and I) did not get to, move all our furniture except for throw-away and one desk to the destination, move some furniture to the curb for recycling, move one aluminum/glass desk to a storage area that I had paid for, pick up three book cases and a china closet from that storage area and deliver and unpack everything at the destination. What really happened was that they picked up the furniture from the origin, but the packing became a throw-it-into-open-boxes, they dumped several boxes into the storage area instead of the destination, took one and a half hours for lunch and charged for one full hour of that lunch, and at the destination they moved some of the furniture that the doors could not be opened (too tightly against the corner wall), put the dining table together while placing the screws into the holes without tightening (could have severely injured us), and did not unpack anything.

We have moved seven times in our life before and this move was no different. The movers came on time. They didn't break anything. They packed nicely. They offered me the option of a fixed quote versus time and material where in the latter case, you have to fill a blank check and they would list the price. Anyway I opted for the fixed quote and the price was reasonable.

Courteous moving staff and a great move
I don't move very often, but I was very impressed with the moving company I used for my most recent move. They responded in a timely manner to my requests, and when I called them and asked if they could come to my house on the moving day a little earlier than was originally scheduled they were happy to oblige. The staff was very courteous during the entire move and I was very comfortable with the pricing as well.

Worst, should have thrown my stuff ...
I hired 5 star movers for a move from NH to CT on March 1.. The guys were 2 hours late, without a call. Then proceeded to move my things. They were nice enough, but when we got to the destination they ripped a leather couch that was 3 months old, scratched or broke a coffee table, 2 end tables, a couch table, and a wine rack. They scratched up my bedroom set. And in the process of the move they scratched the hell out of my hard wood floors. I filed a claim, which is a total joke, the company they use CSI Pros in Florida, likes to make believe they didnt get your paperwork so they cant even process it (4 times I sent it to them along with pictures of all the damage. First of all it's per pound (my own fault) which wont replace a coffee table, and since my landlord is having his own guys doing the floors and billing me, I cant include that in my claim. Avoid the aggravation and dont use these guys, you cant win any way around.
