WORST MOVING COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. When I first reached out to Friendly Movers about my move, they told me it would be 7 business days from when they picked up my belongings in DC, they also originally quoted me a smaller number for the entire move. Both of those reasons are why I went with Friendly Movers. They picked up my shipment December 12th, I did not receive my belongings until January 16th. I called almost every day for weeks and it wasn’t until January 5th that someone finally gave me a reason for the delay, which was that they messed up and didn’t put my “shipment” up on the van lines. I was told I would be compensated for this since it was entirely their error. This entire move was a complete nightmare, from the under quote, to over a month it took to get my belongings, the lack of transparency/communication, to the payment issue and truck breakdown. I have moved before and used a professional moving company, and this was by far the worst moving experience I have ever had. I still have not received my promised "compensation" and have they have since stopped answering my phone calls. Save yourself and do not use this company. Read more

Nice Packing and handling

Moving was great. They came on time. They took good care in wrapping, loading and unloading all the things. They handled nicely and moved all my goods smoothly without any damage. I would definitely recommend to my friends and family. Read more

It was good, very good. They were polite and friendly, they moved everything i had to move. The only problem is i have a lot of antique furniture and one of the pieces had a mirror fall off. They were very prompt. They came even before-they were supposed to come at 10, they came at 9:30 which was perfect timing. They even spoke our language, which was perfect--Spanish. They were pretty good, however they did scratch a few pieces. The pricing was very good. They did do it in a timely fashion, but they did scratch a few pieces. Besides that everything was wonderful. To be honest, I don't know if we would use them again ... They were pretty deep gouges. Read more

They did a good job moving me but ...

Everything was fine up until they told me I had to pay for the mileage. [They didn't] ever say that ... And then he wanted me to pay before they moved stuff into the house. ...Those were the two things I didn't like. ...I mean they did a good job, you know, they moved the furniture nicely, no damages or anything like that. They were very thorough with my ...

[It went] very well, they were on time. They were very thorough with my requests and packing up actual items and stuff. It was raining that day so the weather was inconvenient and they really did a good job getting the furniture in the truck and moving everything quickly and in good shape. Everything that I asked them to move when we got to the house it was still in good shape. [The movers were] very nice, very friendly. They followed directions very well, yea it was good. They did [give me a price quote] and I didn't really like the fact that the packing supplies they had to use they did charge me extra. My Best Movers

I'm in the military and in my career in the military I moved constantly overseas and within the US. I have no words to express my gratitude Friendly Movers for making this moving experience a pleasant one. No doubt this move in comparison with previous move was the BEST. The professionalism from Customer Service to the moving crew is commendable. The moving crew led by Javier was very courteous, and demonstrated EXTREME cautions when moving our furniture. This crew gave us peace of mind because they knew what they were doing, Their willingness to help, HONESTY and kindness toward my family speaks volumes about Friendly Movers. I couldn't choose a better moving company to handle this move. It is my responsibility as a customer to provide you and this company with this review that HIGHLIGHTS how its employees are representing your company in this busy Washington DC metro area. Late Arrival and Cost More Money

An assured 4-hr. move turned into an all-day 8-hr move; due to the movers arriving 1/2 late. I had sit aside 6-hrs because I had furniture that needed to go into storage. Movers was scheduled to arrive between 8-10am, they arrived @ 10;30am. Then the movers, stated they do not start til 10am. These days you have to reserved the loading docs to get moved into an apartment. Being the movers started late, that caused them to arrived late at the apartment, by the time they pulled in to unload they had to pull out to let someone else's truck get in to the docs. That caused a 3-hr delay before my furniture got moved into my apartment. I was totally disappointed and this was ridiculous. PUNCH LINE. When I call the office to complain, I was instructed to send my concerns in writing to the manager on Monday. Well the person I was voicing my concerns to on the phone on that Saturday, was the actual manager I spoke to on Monday. At that time, he told me he could not say anything unitl the job was completed. What a RIP-OFF. Read more

All my important keys went missing.

The major problem that I had with them is that when they came to move me, my keys went missing and they were very important keys. I was like, "What is going on with these keys missing" and I had to get another set. Later on, I went on the website for reviews and other people, clients said that they were not to be trusted, that they were thieves, that they had some bad experiences. What happened was, they went ahead and moved me, got their money, took it through my checking account, but I just wasn't happy that my very important keys went missing (my safety deposit box keys). I had to replace all of the keys because I didn't trust the situation. The owner said he was gonna call me back, he didn't call me back. Read more
