Damaged items!

Move was awful. Damaged my brand new executive desk as well as a bookcase, end table and my French door refrigerator freezer! Movers didn't think to take the front door of house off hinges to get the refrigerator through it instead they just pushed, pulled and shoved it through til it was jammed in the doorway! This was after they took the doors off the refrigerator (not the freezer part) and tried to get it through the door that way which was obviously not going to work. Each item that I found damaged I reported to the driver and he kept telling his crew to be more careful and they still weren't. Now I am told by the woman in their office that the claim I filed for $1390 in damaged items will only be reimbursing $278!!!! That will not replace or repair the damages done. I cannot seem to get any information either on who else I can speak to about that amount not being acceptable. I ask for the insurance company name and number and am told there is nothing more that can be done. They are paying .60 cent on average of the weight of items. My items weigh more than what they are paying on. I will never again use this moving company and will always advise others not to use them. Read more
