Move with Hart

They showed up on time by as day or so went by it was obvious that everything would not fit in truck they sent. However they ignored this and continued on and then last day truck was full but maybe 1/4 remained to be packed. They wanted to put some things in my trailer that I had rented for personal items. Late in day when things could not be packed things got very sloppy as stuff piled in on the truck that was to take remainder to storage. Finally they packed the remainder in second truck but not to be moved but to be put into storage ...for indefinite period of time we were told. This was not finished until nearly dark. They left quit a bit of mess in the vacant house which we were obliged to clean up even later in the day. We were told that if moving went late in the day the next day would be travel day (for us and them) and then it would be moved in. However this was totally false and they traveled a night and started moving in the next day as we traveled. So we got what was packed moved in the next day at destination. Rest came quite a bit later. Damages: $1500 Chinese chest in living room damaged and they said could not be repaired... gave $300 for damages as example. Latches broken off of chests. Casters broken off table legs. Leaf dissembled off of table and not put back together.Two chairs did not show up. Scratches here and there. Many flower arrangements crushed. Most of rest arrived with minimal or no damage. They put one bed up at destination. Two more were put in piecemeal and not assembled. I don't know if they should have been or not. In general they were not ready to move what we had regardless of couple of trips at least to survey what we had and estimate. All in all it was a very upsetting experience. Read more

Delivery from Sears

We were to get a Sears delivery between 10:30 and 12:30. I called Sears twice and they sent a message for Hart to call us with a new delivery time. The driver showed up at 7:00 pm and said he and his assistant were too busy to call us with a new time. 6.5 hours late and too busy for any type of customer service?
