I want to share my recent experience with a moving company to help others make an informed choice. As a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker, I value transparent business practices and clear contracts. Unfortunately, this company fell short in several aspects, and I strongly advise against using their services if you care about the safety of your belongings, good customer service, and compliance with state and federal regulations. Below are the negative aspects of my experience. - Poor booking practices - Lack of communication about booking times and procedures. - Unreasonable expectations from the company (I had a phone issue, and the owner assumed I canceled, which was not the case). - The company arrived with an unmarked box truck, without any Dept Of Transportation number on it. - Inadequate insurance coverage. - Lack of background checks and proper training for their movers. - A confusing and contradictory contract that shifts responsibility away from the company. - Pressure to sign the blank, invalid contract before moving items, resulting in the company refusing to proceed with my move - Their contract was pre-written with language that said, I, the consumer was satisfied with my move and I was required to sign it prior to the movers moving my items (how fraudulent is this!!) - Remember, consumers have the right to choose the company they work with, and you should never feel forced or threatened into signing unclear agreements. - The owner posted negative reviews about me cancelling the move on my professional real estate pages with 1 star ratings!! I declined to sign their contract and asked them to leave, which led to the owner posting negative reviews and complaints on my business page, which were unrelated and unwarranted. This is a form of defamation, and I take it seriously. The company insisted on cash and Cash App payments, which offer less consumer protection. Keep in mind, consumers, you have the freedom to choose a moving company that respects your rights and treats you professionally. On a positive note, I'd like to recommend Modern Moves DFW for your moving needs. They came through for me at the last minute, took excellent care of my belongings, and provided a professional and accommodating service, including the setup of my washer and dryer. There were no damages, and I even tipped them extra for their outstanding service. Read more

I would never ever use or recommend ...

The movers were late....once they got here maybe 20 minutes into the move it started pouring down rain. I'm under the impression you're gonna stop the clock cause you can't move my belongings in the rain. The owner told them they could not move, but they're not going to stop the clock. So that aggravated me for one... The truck was too small, according to the drivers, this happens on more than one occasion--where they send a small truck so they can make multiple trips. Read more

Everything went without a hitch.

The driver and the helper were very good. When I ended up having a flat tire on the pick up and everything was delayed about two hours or so, they didn't complain. They understood it was out of my control. They could have demanded extra payment or what have you, or complained a lot and they didn't at all. Read more

They showed up two hours late. I paid for two hours to move, it took them three and a half. They didn't move as fast as I would like them to. When we got to the house some of my furniture was damaged. They were nice guys but could have been a better experience. Read more
