Awesome Workers

I highly suggest Jordan River Moving And Storage for anyone looking to make a relocation in the Seattle location - especially on the short notification. On the day of the move, Kennedy and Justin showed up at the consented to time. Throughout the relocation, both were courteous, respectful, collaborative, easy to work with, and showed excellent communication abilities by means of frequent status updates. Each had a terrific "can do" attitude combined with extreme work principles. Overall, they were extremely expert, friendly, and displayed impressive teamwork. In spite of a number of unforeseen challenges, they never lost their persistence, never ever got annoyed, and never ever complained. The relocation included only a single item - a treadmill that was a genuinely uncomfortable monster. It weighed more than 325 pounds. and was located on the 2nd flooring of our house. I decided to use Yelp's "Get a Quote". Scot, from On the Go Moving, reacted by means of phone nearly instantly! Scot supplied a verbal quote which had a number of different day and time options. Both were the exact same cost. I selected the next day, Saturday, and he followed it up with an email including all the details. I knew exactly what to expect - there was no ambiguity. They took unique care to avoid damage to the treadmill, to our house, and to our child's house, particularly when going up/down the stairs in either home. They reassembled the treadmill, plugged it in, and validated it was in good working order before leaving. We purchased a custom couch that the original movers could not get up our stairs. It was wedged in our entryway and we had very little faith it could get in. Then came Jordan River Moving! Very resourceful

I had to move out of my place for a couple months to do some renovations and I used Jordan River Moving to store some of my belongings. Making an appointment and estimating cost was super easy. They delivered crates and I took my time filling them up. Then they came back and picked them up. I also had some large items and art work that did not fit in the crates. They packed them for me. Good estimate but furniture was ...

They delivered my stuff on time but I actually called for some damages that they've done. They actually did a very good job to send somebody to assess how much it would cost me, the estimate, the weight. They were very accurate. I had to pay a little bit extra because I was a little bit over weight but they did a good job of estimating that. They were very professional with taking the stuff and bringing it. The only thing I would say is that because they use the big trucks, 50-56 feet containers and they share the route. My stuff was put next to the stuff of someone else that they had some oils or sauces that spilled and actually ruined my furniture that I got. And I'm not sure what happened but they also damaged some of my furniture. Read more

They were great. They were on time. They showed up last minute--we had called the on a Wednesday night because we were not happy with the previous mover, and he didn't even have a contract for us, so we were just like we're gonna go with somebody else. So we called Jordan River at six o'clock Wednesday night and they were there eight o'clock on Thursday morning. So it was really great. They were on time, they were really professional, very efficient, and they packed everything really, really well. They were careful with everything, but they were very quick. Disappointing moving experience

I'm still missing an emerald ring that has not shown up and we had to pay almost $700 to get our refrigerator put back together right. I'm not satisfied with this moving company. The refrigerator was put back together by the truck driver and it's a brand new 33-cubic-foot refrigerator that was only a couple of months old. He didn't know how to do it, and I didn't expect that he could. They had to take the freezer door and the double doors off the top to get it into the house and he didn't put it back together right. I had to call Sears to come put it back together correctly. I guess we should have gone with a little bit pricier company and maybe we would have been more satisfied. Most of the people didn't speak English, which was a problem as well. My advice to future customers is to check out the people who have rated them. Read more

My move was well-executed

Overall the movers were fine. They estimated us they didn't do a home visit so we discussed a negotiated price and they did the way that was fair. When things actually did show up at my house, it wasn't them. I was under the impression that it would be them, it was a different company. The guys that did the moving weren't ther best in my mind but everything got here, there were some things that were damaged but nothing to substantial, overall it was fine. The guys who did the pick up were very professional and quick and the time and all the delivery was inside the window that they promised. Everything is fine. There was one wooden table that they only wrapped it with like plastic wrap rather than using cloth, like they did everything else and it got damaged in the corner such a nice wooden table. I don't know why they didn't wrap with cloth but as a result got a little damage but overall it was fine. Read more

Worst Ever!

The estimate was accurate and I used this company because of the glowing reviews they had received I also was offered a 10% discount. I did a move across town and the move was for furniture only. The crew that showed up did not put down any covering on the floor until I told them to. Seemed to be in too big a hurry and dropped my dryer on the stairs (instead of using an appliance mover) and broke the top. Gouged walls, left wrapping paper and empty tape rolls wherever they dropped them and left a large pile of garbage in my garage. I actually had to show them how to move my couch out of the living room as they were trying to force it through the door. The icing on the cake was when two of them were walking past my son and I and made a comment in Spanish and then started laughing. My son (who speaks Spanish) told me they just called us assholes. I would not recommend these jokers to anyone the aggravation, damage and insults were not worth the few dollars I saved. Read more

I was referred to this company by my friend and the service was fantastic. The movers arrived on time and worked very fast and finished in a short span of time. Even though the movers were fast, they took care to pack everything safely. The delivery of my items was done on time. Poor Warehouse Handling/Loading; ...

Jordan River Moving performed as expected in wrapping up and loading two households (daughter and her family, and my husband and me) into separate trucks for warehousing for a day or so until reload for a cross-country transport from Washington State to Middle Tennessee. THAT is where Jordan River loses all credibility! The warehouse loading crew did not know how to load. My clearly labeled specialty boxed "GOOD CHINA" was at the very BOTTOM of a stack, causing me to replace 4 crushed bowls for $67.91--plus the driver tried to hide the fact! Jordan River "lost" our two-step stepladder. (They also "lost" my daughter's hand truck.) Three specialty wardrobe boxes--clearly labled 'DO NOT STACK," were crushed. Luckily, clothes and shoes don't break; but I did have some well bubble-wrapped paintings that survived Jordan River's abuse. I never received any update calls from Jordan River on the transport of my household belongings. The driver of the truck did call my daughter a few times asking for directions. I am totally disgusted with Jordan River Moving! I chose them over two other companies recommended by Movers.Com, after thoroughly researching all of them after receiving quotes, even though Jordan River's was a bit higher. The ONLY professionalism I received came from the driver and crew who initially loaded my household belongings in Washington State, and the CREW ONLY who unloaded it in Tennessee. Those gentlemen received generous cash tips. Read more
